Anti-measles campaign begins in BARMM

COTABATO CITY - SISIMULAN NGAYONG ARAW ng Ministry of Health sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao ang malawakang pagbakuna sa mga kabataan upang mapigilian ang pagdami ng may sakit na tigdas. Tulong ng DOH-central office, tiniyak ni Health Sec. Dr. Teodoro Herbosa.

Sa report ng Dept of Health Manila, 2,661 measles rubella cases sa buong bansa at halos kalahati nito ay nasa BARMM.

Ang massive vaccination ay tatagal hanggang April 20 at target ang 1.3 million na mga kabataan

Sinabi ni MOH-BARMM deputy minister Dr. Zul Qarnayn Abas na tatlong mga bata na ang namatay dahil sa sakit na ito. 

Sa report ng MOHY-BARMM, meron lang 597 cases ang naitala sa rehiyon mula Enero hanggang March 20.

Prioridad sa vaccination ang mga batang nagkakaedad ng 9 months old.

Katuwang ng MOH-BARMM ang Darul Ifta upang kumbinsihin ang mga magulan na halal ang bakuna kontra measles o tigdas.
