STO NINO, South Cotabato - Cemeteries are for the dead but three tricycle drivers believed it was the best place to sniff prohibited substance Tuesday morning.Two other users, a vulcanizing shop workerand a pedicab driver,also believed a restroom in Sto Nino townwas safe place to sniff shabu.It appeared they were wrong as cops arrested them.The pedicab drivers took time out from hauling passengers and held pot session in the middle of tombs inside the Sto Nino public cemetery.Acting on a tip from a concerned citizen, Senior Inspector Ritchel Cabuslay, Sto Nino town police chief, quickly organized a team to verify the information.True enough, the police found tricycle driversJobert Felongco, 27, Nikko Felongco, 23 and Reynaldo Marcelino Jr, 23, all residents ofBarangay Poblacion, Norala, SouthCotabato, in the act of enjoying the stuff.Police recovered three small sachets of shabu and three empty sachets and other drug paraphernalia.Also in Tuesday morning, 54-year-old Bonifacio Rano and pedicab driver Christopher Baylosis, 34, were arrested by police in the act of sniffing prohibited substance.Cabuslay said a tipster alerted the police of an on-going pot session inside the comfort room of Bobong Rano Vulcanizing Shop in Purok Sampaguita, Barangay Poblacion.Acting on a tip, the cops responded and caught the two inside the vulcanizing shop restroom to comfort themselves with illegal drugs. Seized from them were one sachet that contained suspected shabu and an empty sachet with shabu residue. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are being prepared against them.
