378 cops in Region 12 promoted to a rank higher
GEN. SANTOS
CITY – More than 370 police officers in the SOCCSKSARGEN region have been
promoted one rank higher, a police official today said.
Chief
Inspector Aldrin Gonzales, speaking for PRO-12, said a total of 378 PNP
uniformed personnel promoted to next higher rank and were sworn-in to office in
a ceremony held at PRO 12 Grandstand on Monday morning.
Chief Supt.
Marcelo C Morales, PRO-12 regional director, led the mass oath-taking of the
newly promoted Police Officers.
Of the 61 promoted
Police Commissioned Officers (PCO’s) were 16 Police Superintendents (P/Supt) four
Police Chief Inspectors (PCI) 10 Police Senior Inspectors (PSI) and 31 Police
Inspector (PI).
Of the 378
newly promoted officers, 317 now have the rank of Police Non Commissioned
Officers (PNCO), 32 of whom were Senior Police Officer 3 (SPO3) 21 for SPO2
122 for SPO1 89 for Police Officer 3 and 53 for PO2.
Being
promoted to a next higher rank does speak of your credibility, efficiency and
effectiveness in your career, Morales told the police officers.
You need to
level up a certain kind of management that equates a bigger responsibility from
which you have just taken an oath today, he added.
Morales also
thanked the stakeholders for their untiring support to the men and women of PRO
12.
He said that
PRO-12 cannot be as efficient and effective if not through their help and with
