2 men shot in North Cotabato over the weekend
KIDAPAWAN CITY - Two men were separately shot in North Cotabatoover the weekend, one died while the other in critical condition, police said.Kaharodin Lumambas, 23, farmer of Purok Krislam, Matalam, North Cotabato was shot dead by still unidentified gunman in Barangay New Sebu, President Roxas, North Cotabato at 1 p.m. Saturday. In his reportPolice Senior Inspector Romy Castanares, President Roxas police chief, said a man invited the victim to back ride with him. The two do not know each other.Upon reaching Barangay New Sebu, the suspect directed Lumambas to disembark and shot him four times using cal. 45 pistol. The gunman quickly fled.Police believed the incident was related to illegal drugs. Also on Saturday, Marvin Bebillo, 31 of Barangay Bulakanon, Makilala, was shot by still unidentified gunman at past 8 p.m.The Makilala PNP said the victim was walking alone when the unidentified suspect shot him in the head. Bebillo managed to run but the gunman chased him and fired more, hitting him in his back. The suspect fled by riding on a motorbike driven by an accomplice and sped away. Bebillo is now in the intensive care unit of a private hospital here.Makilala PNP is still investigating the incident.
