2 die, 1 hurt in Koronadal pawnshop hold-up

KORONADAL CITY(Sept. 18/NDBC) -- Six armed men barged inside a pawnshop here at past noon today, declared hold-up and shot dead to security guards, radio reports said.Police and witnesses said six men arrived on two separate motorcycles, barged inside Brillantes Pawnshop along Osmenia Street, Koronadal City and declared hold-up at about 12:35 p.m.Police identified the slain Brillantes Pawnshopsecurity guard as Joan Lazaga. Another unidenfied security guard from Fitmart Deparment Store was also killed during the shootout.Before fleeing, the suspects tossed a fragmentation grenade inside the pawnshop.Police investigators are still on the crime scene while Army and police bomb experts set off the hand grenade.A minor was hit by stray bullet and was rushed to the South Cotabato provincial hospital.
