2 dead, DOT official, house helper injured in Davao house fire

DAVAO CITY -- Tourism Assistant Secretary Eden Josephine David and her house helper were injured while her son and another house helper died when their house was gutted down fire at around 12:30 am Saturday.Initial police report said that David and her male house helper sustained third degree burns while the bodies of her nine-year-old son John Brent and female house helper Kimberly Luayon were found dead inside the house of David located in Purok 4, Artiaga St., Barangay 33-D, this city.David is now confined at Davao Doctor's Hospital while her male house helper is in critical condition at the Southern Philippines Medical Center.Chief Insp. Catherine dela Rey, city police spokesperson, said the cause of fire has yet to be determined.
