BARMM police now identifying Sulu Army camp bombers

COTABATO CITY --- The Bangsamoro police and the military are cooperating in identifying the real plotters of Friday’s deadly bombing of an Army base in Indanan town in Sulu.

Three soldiers, three civilians and the two couriers of the improvised explosive device used in the attack perished in the incident.

The Regional Police Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao said Saturday 22 others, 10 of them Army personnel, were injured in the explosion.

Feuding groups in Pagalungan in standoff

MAGUINDANAO  --- Hundreds of villagers were displaced by gunfights this week between two groups in the politically troubled Pagalungan town in this province.

The rival factions, one led by Butoh Mantol and the other comprised of followers of defeated mayoral candidate Mokamad Andoy, first fought using assault rifles and grenade launchers in Barangay Cudal in Pagalungan town in Maguindanao early this week, sending hundreds of villagers running for their lives.

Innocent villager dead in Palimbang clan war 

SULTAN KUDARAT ---- An adolescent villager was killed while dozens of families got dislocated in a spate of gunfights involving two rival Moro groups in the seaside Palimbang town Friday.

The fatality was identified as Richard Tulik, a high school student.

Reports from the Regional Police Office-12 said the enemy groups, one led by Mike Binago and the other by allies Salik Adam and Tat Tuan, first clashed in Barangay Molon, sending hundreds of villagers running for their lives.

NPA slain in clash with gov't troops in S. Cotabato

 

KORONADAL CITY - Kasapi ng Guerilla Front 73 ng New Peoples Army o NPA na kanilang naka-engkwentro ang napatay ng mga kasapi ng militar sa Tupi, South Cotabato.

Ito ang ipinahayag ni 27th IB Commading Officer Lt. Col. Jones Brisal Otida sa panayam ng RAdyo Bida Koroandal.

Ayon kay Otida, nakasagupaan ng nagpapatrolyang tropa ng pamahalaan ang mga myembro ng NPA sa liblib na Sitio ng Pangi, Barangay Lunen,Tupi, South Cotabato.

MBLT-7 to fight ASG terrorist group in Sulu

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – The military’s Joint Task Force Central has sent the Marine Battalion Landing Team-7 (MBLT-7) to Sulu on Sunday.

The ceremony was held early morning today at Polloc Port in Barangay Polloc, Parang, Maguindanao presided by Major General Cirilito E. Sobejana, Commander Joint Task Force Central being represented by Brigadier General Juvymax R. Uy, Assistant Commander, JTF Central with Major General Alvin A. Parreño, Commandant Philippine Marine Corps.

Another BIFF gunsmith facility in Maguindanao dismantled

MAGUINDANAO --- A joint Army-police team dismantled Tuesday another makeshift firearm repair shop of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters.

The BIFF, blamed for all bombings in central Mindanao in recent years, uses the flag of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria as revolutionary banner.

Major Gen. Cirilito Sobejana of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division said Wednesday the facility, located at Barangay Midconding in General Salipada Pendatun, Maguindanao was operated by BIFF bandits led by Sukarno Buka, who is wanted for heinous offenses.

3 killed as MILF faction, plantation security men clash in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY - Three persons were killed as a firefight broke out between a group of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) fighters and armed security volunteers of a banana planation in Datu Abdullah Sangki (DAS), Maguindanao on Sunday.

Maj. Alma Ladera, Police chief of DAS town, identified the parties involved in the fighting as the MILF faction under a certain Commander Tommy of the MILF 105th base command, and the armed security group under Aldrex Kali, community leader of the banana plantation at Barangay Tukanalugong.

North Cotabato clan war dislocate innocent villagers

NORTH COTABATO --- Two feuding Moro clans in Midsayap town again clashed Friday, forcing dozens of families to evacuate to neutral grounds.

The Army’s 34th Infantry Battalion even fired 81 millimeter mortars at the positions of the rival Macalimbol and Duluan clans in Barangay Tumbras in Midsayap, North Cotabato for them to disengage and prevent innocent villagers from getting trapped in the crossfire.

The two families are locked in squabbles for arable lands in Barangay Tumbras.

Midsayap villagers seek reprieve from clan wars

NORTH COTABATO --- Residents of Midsayap wants an extensive involvement of their local officials in the resolution of the conflicts among clans locked in showdowns affecting innocent villagers.

Hundreds of Moro residents were dislocated by the latest gunfights between the Sogod and Namil families, the Talilisen and Mangadta families and the Macarambol and Taha families in Barangays Mudseng, Nes and Tumbras in Midsayap, respectively.
