EXCLUSIVEand 3 employees of Sultan Kudarat logging firm killed in ambush

KALAMANSIG,
Sultan Kudarat – Suspected communist
guerrillas ambushed and killed Thursday workers and an official of M and S logging
firm operating in the mountains of this town.

Senior
Inspector Glenn Mar B. Avisa, Kalamansig PNP officer in charge, identified the
fatality as Edgardo Valenzuela, 62, area supervisor of M andamp S Logging
company, Rolando Toledo, 28, company guard and Nel Anthony Perreza, driver.

Another
company guard, Jimmy Torion, was not hurt but the gunmen took his service
firearm.

Gunmen kill Isulan ex-councilor in ambush

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (PNA) -- A former municipal councilor of Isulan town in Sultan Kudarat was killed on Wednesday night in an attack by unidentified gunmen in the area.Supt. Joefel Siason, Isulan police chief, said Thursday victim Elno Segura, 37, was on his way home aboard his gray Honda Civic sedan when he was waylaid by two motorcycle-riding suspects at a portion of Purok PC Barracks in Barangay Kalawag II at around 9:30 p.m.He said Segura has just left the residence of his girlfriend near the area when the incident happened. It appeared to be a well-planned attack.
