KORONADAL CITY -- Two men, one of themarmed with a kitchen knife, stabbed to death here a village official of Columbio, Sultan Kudarat, police said.Alert policemen who responded quickly arrested the two suspects after the 10 a.m. roadside stabbing incident.Alert policemen, led byPolice Senior Supt. Nestor Salcedo, Koronadal City police director, responded quickly and arrested the two suspects in the 10 a.m. roadside stabbing incident.Police identified the victim asJun Sabino, 44, village councilman of Barangay New Bantangan, Columbio, Sultan Kudarat.Investigation showed Sabinowas standing along Paredes Street, Gen. Santos Drive, Barangay Zone 1, Koronadal City when attacked by the suspects later identified as Primitivo Baylosis, a lay cooperator, and his brother Valentin.Sabino sustained stab wounds in different parts of his body and died instantly.The two suspects told DXOM-Happy FM they just acted in self defense si Sabino has a gun.Recovered from the crime scene were a 6-inch knife from one of the two suspects anda hand gun owned by the slain village councilman.Baby Jane Sabino, the victim'sdaughter, told Happy FM Koronadal in an interview that his father has been receiving death threat from the suspects.She did not say why the two men were after his father's head.The Koronadal City Police Office isstill investigating the incident.Charges of murder against the suspects are being readied by the Koronadal City PNP.
