Tampakan's most wanted man arrested
KORONADAL CITY - Combined police and military authorities arrested Wednesday afternoon in Malungon, Sarangganithe most wanted person of Tampakan, South Cotabato.Daguil Capion was arrested by combined elements of Tampakan police, South Cotabato police office, Special Action Force and Saranggani police office at 2 p.m. inSunken Arena, Barangay Poblacion, Malungon, Sarangani Province.The arresting team was armed with arrests warrants issued by Judge Lorenzo Balo of Regional Trial Court Branch 24 for three counts of murder and attempted murder and Judge Joseph A. Palmes of Tampakan municipal circuit trial court for two counts of grave coercion. Investigation showed that Capion has another warrant, Hon. Judge Carmelita Sarno-Davin, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 39, Davao Del Sur for murder and robbery.DXOM-AM Radyo Bida Koronadal learned that police operatives have received from an informant that Capion was sighted in Malungon which was celebrating a village fiesta.Immediately, the arresting officer proceeded to Malungon to serve the warrants.Capion did not resist arrest.Capion, in an interview by DXOM-AM Radyo Bida Koronadal, denied the charges against him. He said his only sin was that he was openly opposing mining operations in Tampakan, South Cotabatoand Kiblawan, Davao del Su. His parents and siblings were killed during botched Army operations against New Peoples Army in Kiblawan in October last year.
