TACURONG CITY -- For religiously paying business taxes that help the city grow to what it is now, the Tacurong City government has recognized its top three business establishments as Outstanding Business Taxpayers. The awarding ceremonies were held during the today's celebration of Tacurong Day. According to Mayor Lina Montilla of Tacurong City said these business establishments have been religiously paid business tax and other taxes to the city government from 2012 to 2014. Tacurong City Treasurer Jessie Batchar identified the business firms as Tacurong Fit Mart, Mercury Drug-Ledesma Street and Mercury Drug-Bonifacio Street. The LGU also awarded plaques to individuals identified as outstanding taxpayers on real property tax. In addition, the Tacurong City government also recognized the Top 5 best-performing barangays in its tax collection program. Batchar identified the village governments as Barangays EJC Montilla, Rajah Muda, San Antonio, D’Ledesma and Lancheta. The recognition was among the activities featured during the Tacurong Day celebration of Tacurong City’s 64th Foundation Anniversary.
