Sultan Esmail Kiram II's remains buried in Jolo
JOLO, Sulu -- Even shortly before his death, thereigning sultan of Sulu and North Borneo, Esmail Kiram II, was pushing for claims over Sabah. Abraham Idjirani, speaking for the sultanate, said the late reigning Sultan of Sulu reiterated that the claim over Sabah must continue, this time through peaceful means.
