PNP file charges vs. 7 in Isulan bombing
ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat – The Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Manolette on Thursday filed charges of Multiple Frustrated Murder and Multiple Attempted Murder against the seven identified suspects and their cohorts on the recent Isulan Bombing Charges at Provincial Prosecutors Office-Isulan Sultan Kudarat.
Five of the suspects were the suspected ISIS Sympathizers who were arrested by PRO 12 operatives, AFP and counterpart agencies on September 23, 2019 while the other two identified suspects and their cohorts remain at large.
It can be recalled that four of the suspects namely Normia Antao Camsa, Norshiya Joven Camsa, Abedin Camsa a.k.a Beds, and the Swedish National, Hassan Akgun, were arrested during the simultaneous implementation of Search Warrants for illegal possession of firearms at Sitio Nakan, BrgyKapaya, Bagumbayan , Sultan Kudarat.
While Kamlon Tongab Camsa, Vice-Chairman of MNLF Military Affairs (Sabiwang State) was arrested in General Santos City after being caught in possession of a bag containing two hand grenades.
Meanwhile, two suspects Rashid Joven Camsa and Maira Tungab Alimao named in the complaint are still at large; however, PRO 12 operatives are keeping their eyes and ears on the whereabouts of said suspects and their allies to bring them forth to the hands of the law.
Police Brig. Gen. Alfred Corpuz lauded the members of the SITG MANOLETTE for the fast resolution of the case and he further encourage the community to cooperate with the authorities should they come across of information on the whereabouts of the other suspect.
“I commend the efforts of the SITG Manolette for bringing forth justice to the seven innocent civilians who were injured last September 7 Isulan Blast. Rest assured that your PNP is doing everything under its capability to go after the other suspects in the soonest time that we can. With this, I am calling out to the public, should you have any information with regards to these suspects, to please, do not hesitate to report to your local authorities. With your help and cooperation, we can effectively prevent these individuals to create terror and panic among our community,” Corpuz said.
