NorCot honors BHWs
KIDAPAWAN CITY
- More than 2,000 Barangay Health
Workers (BHW’s) from various towns and lone city in Cotabato gathered here for
the 2-day BHW Provincial Convention at the Provincial Gymnasium.

respective federations in the 24th annual gathering of the province’s front
line health workers.

Vice Gov. Gregorio Ipong cited the very important roles of the BHWs in
attending to the health needs of villagers.
As the front
liners in maintaining a healthy barangay, you have vital roles in your
respective communities and for this, the Provincial Government of Cotabato led
by Gov. Emmylou Lala” J. Taliño-Mendoza recognize your contributions,” Ipong
said.

Rabaya, OIC of the Integrated Provincial Health Office, lauded the village
health workers whom she described as modern day heroes and hard workers,
considering the difficult situation they are in.
They all work
voluntarily without a fixed compensation or salary but they do not see this as
hindrance in serving their villages and for this I am truly grateful,” Mendoza
said, adding that it was one of saying thank you for your sacrifice.”
