KORONADAL CITY
(Sept. 5/NDBC) – For failure to pay taxes, the city treasurer’s office shut
down eight stalls inside the city’s mega market. Koronadal City Treasurer
Marloun Gumbao said the closure order was carried out after repeated reminders
to stall owners to pay rentals turned to deaf ears. One stall owner owe the
city government about P8,000 rentals.
Gumbao warned shut down stall owners not to attempt to unlock the stalls
because higher penalties await them.MIDSAYAP,
North Cotabato (Sept. 5/NDBC) – For operating illegally, owners of 13
motorcycles remained in the custody of the Midsayap Land Transportation Office
(LTO). These motorcycles were impounded by LTO officials for failure of its
owners to present certificates of registration and other documents to prove legal
ownership. LTO officials said these
vehicles will remain in the agency custody until legitimate owners could
present ownership documents. (NDBC)
COTABATO CITY
(Sept. 5/NDBC) – The Australian government, through the Philippines Australia
Human Resource and Organizational Development Facility (PAHRODF), maintained its
assistance to the Bangsamoro Resource Development (BRD) in providing capacity
and technical assistance for the future leaders of Bangsamoro government. On
September 3, PAHDRODF and Bangsamoro Leadership and Management Institute (BLMI)
signed an agreement for technical assistance aimed at developing professional
excellence among future leaders. BLMI is
non-profit organization formed following the success of the GH-MILF peace
panels to train and develop future leaders of the envisioned Bangsamoro.(NDBC)
MIDSAYAP,
North Cotabato (Sept. 5/NDBC) – Health workers here launched Wednesday the
anti-measles, anti-polio mass immunization aimed at establishing zero measles
and polio cases in town. Following the
launching at the town hall here, the municipal health office has called on all
parents of children 0-59 months old to avail of free measles and anti-polio
vaccines. Parents are advised to bring
their children to their respective barangay health stations or vaccination
posts nearest them. (NDBC)
