Man in electric meter theft enters guilty plea during arraignment

COTABATO CITY - Inamin ng isang lalaking naaresto ng mga police sa kasong pagnanakaw ng electric meter ng Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) sa Barangay Rosary Heights 11, Cotabato City nitong buwan ng Mayo 2021.

Sa arraignment ng kasong pagnanakaw laban kay Mark Chio Dimao, nagharap ng "guilty plea" si Dimao sa pagnanakaw ng electric meter sa Penafrancia Subdivision, Cotabato City.

Ang guilty plea ay pag-amin ng pagkakasala sa ginawang arraignment sa korte. 

Si Dimao, 26 na taong gulang, ay naaresto ng PNP sa pangunguna ni Police Station 2 commander Capt. Rustom Pastolero.  Nag-report sa PNP ang mga miembro ng Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team o BPAT na may naganap na pagnanakaw ng electric meter reader mula sa poste ng Cotabato Light.

Kasamang naaresto ni Dimao ang "payong payong" driver.   

Nabawi mula sa kanila ang isang unit ng electric meter gadget ng Cotabato Light na nagkakahagala ng P1,000.

Ang pagnanakaw ng electric meter gauge ay isang paglabag sa Republic Act 7832 or Anti Pilferage Act.
