Kidapawan TMU members accused of mulcting motorist

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Two members of the Traffic Management Unit (TMU) here are in hot water after a retired marine officer complained twoextorted P500 from him.TMU head Rey Manar vowed to investigate traffic enforcersRolly Tindugan and a certain Salmorin on the complaint. Once we have proof the two extorted money from the victim, we will file appropriate charges against them, Manar told DXND Radyo Bida.Manar saidIsagani Moisco, who introduced himself asdirector of Filipino Alliance Movement Support Group (FAM-SG), violated a one-way traffic rule along Dayao Street on August 30.TMU enforcer Tindugan said it caused traffic jam, forcing him to issueTemporary Operator's Permit (TOP).However, Moisco refused to accept the TOP andsought for reconsideration.Manar maintained nobody is exempted from the traffic rules. A violator must be penalized, he stressed.But Moisco proceeded to the police station and put on police blotter that Tindugan and Salmorin reportedly mulcted him P500 for settlement.

Manar said investigation is going on.
