KIDAPAWAN CITY – A feisty legislator here has challenged her detractors to present to them evidences that would prove her driver and another government employee are, indeed, involved in a sex scandal. City councilor Ruby Padilla-Sison, chair of the Committee on Women, Children, and Family Matters of the Sangguniang Panglungsod, said she is willing to step down and even give up her re-election bid if there are proofs that such scandal happened. Sison said the scandal, which came out on media just hours after she filed her certificate of candidacy (CoC), was about the alleged ‘vaginal lock’. Allegedly, her driver and another city hall employee, both wearing office uniforms, were rushed to a hospital after they got stuck together during sex in a resort here. This is a big lie. The data are changing. There is no consistency. This means, there is no truth to the matter and just part of the political mudslinging, which my detractors are sowing,” said Sison. Details as to the ‘vaginal lock’ issue varied, depending on where and what sources the data would come from, she said. There were reports that the girl has died after the vaginal lock. Also, I received reports that a traditional hilot was able to ‘unlock’ them during a ritual. When I tried to verify if the reports were true, that was what I got. And I told myself, this is silly,” said the councilor. Sison, former chair of Gabriela in North Cotabato, was under a Makabayan party when she ran as council member in 2013 elections. But on Monday, she ran under the unity ticket of the Liberal Party in Kidapawan City. She sensed the sex scandal that spread like wild fire was out to destroy her integrity, and credibility. If the electorates found me guilty of graft and corruption, I think that’s the issue. But if issues like this, which people would easily embrace as true, came out, I believe there is an intention to malign my person… that I can’t allow,” she stressed. Sison said she has proof that her driver was not absent during those days that the alleged scandal took place. He was never absent. He was with me during our sorties in the barangay. Also, my driver is loyal to his wife and children,” she added. Aside from Sison’s issued vehicle, there are at least nine government vehicles whose plate numbers end with digit number 2. Such vehicle, according to reports, was the one used by the government employees when they allegedly performed an illicit sex inside the resort.
