Guiani-Sayadi lauds PDEA-ARMM in anti-drug campaign

COTABATO CITY - Lawyer Cynthia Guiani Sayadi has challenged officials of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Autonomous Region in Musim Mindanao (PDEA-ARMM) to improve its capability in the campaign against persons involved in illegal drugs.Sayadi, currently the Cotabato City administrator,made the comments in an interview by DXMS Radyo Bida at the sidelines of the destruction of dangerous drug evidences in the city.She said PDEA-ARMM was effective in its campaign in drug buy bust andarrests but most of the cases it filed in court were dismissed due to technicalities. One slight technicalities will cause dismissal of acase,sayang ang mga pagsisikap ng mga agents ng PDEA, Sayadi said. She said the city government is fully supportive of all the projects of PDEA ARMM because it believedthe threat of illegal drugs in the city is enormous and must be stopped.
