Daring robbers burglarize police officer's home in Cotabato City

COTABATO CITY -- Robbers in Cotabato City are getting bolder and daring that even the house of a police officer was burglarized, police reports showed.A businessman also reported to police Station 2 that his home was robbed amid heavy down pour the other night in Barangay Rosary Heights Mother.The suspects in two separate robbery incidents escaped with latest models of electronic gadgets and branded wrist watch plus cash.Police Officer 2 Loremae Mascod, 30, a police officer assigned with Sultan Dumalundong Municipal Police Station in Lanao del Sur and temporarily residng in an apartment along Ilang-Ilang Street, Barangay Rosary Heights Mother went to the police station 2 to report a robbery incident.Police reports showed that unidentified suspects forcibly entered the police officer's home and took away a back pack, five wrist watches including a branded Guess watch costing P10,000 and four G-shock wrist watch amounting to P29,000, an Ipad worth P18,000, Samsung Galaxy S4 cellphone worth P29,000 and P10,000 cash.The suspects also took Mascod's two magazine assembly and cleaning kit for Glock 17 pistol amounting to P6,500.In another incident, unidentified suspects also had a shopping spree inside the house of businessman Tato Bagundang,30 of Purok Tubigan, Mother Barangay Rosary Heights Wednesday morning.Bagundang and his family went to Sousa Street to visit a relative. Since heavy downpour occurred Tuesdaynight, he and his family decided to stay overnight there and returned home early morning the next day.Upon arrival, he found his home's main door already destroyed. He later learned the robbers took his two broadband internet gadgets worth P3,000 one unit wifi modem worth P1,900, a laptop worth P12,000 and P10,000 cash.
