COTABATO CITY - Power supply for Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) franchise area has improved, a power firm official today said.Ana Lea Natanio, Cotabato Light Human Resource and Reputation Enhancement Department head, said power supply from the National Grid Corporation (NGCP)has restored power lines from Kabacan station to Nuling station in Barangay Simuay, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.Cotabato Light's power source was back at Nuling as of 5:39 p.m. Wednesday which translates to improve power allocation, almost two weeks after it was affected by the toppling of NGCP Tower No. 68 in Aleosan, North Cotabato. No feeder interruption yet at this moment with an increase allocation, total supply capacity can cater to the demand,” said Natañowho also described it as a good development. However, Nataño quickly addedand Should there’ll be additional NGCP curtailment, we will implement and post new interruption schedule.”She said limited supply from NGCP is still inevitable due to low production of Hydropower plants in Bukidnon.Nataño said destruction of NGCP power lines affects everyone and hoped that everyone should also help prevent similar incident in the future.
