KORONADAL CITY – Police and military personnel prevented the entry of two armed men in this city where the International Folklore Festival have been on going.Police, led by Senior Inspector John Maynard Macusi and Sgt. Nelson Jun of 27th Infantry Battalion, flagged down a motorbike with two men on board for inspection.But the two men yielded cal. 45 pistol each but could not present documents legalizing possession of high powered guns.Macusi identified the two as Arpin Lumupog Alfonso, 39 and Tom Miskinan Lumupong, 42 of Barangay Simsiman, Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat.They were stopped at a checkpoint inPurok Tagumpay, Barangay General Paulino Santos, Koronadal City on Saturday morning. Police are readying charges against them for violation ofRepublic Act10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms).
