MATALAM, North Cotabato -- A 21-year-old girl was killed while three others were wounded in a highway accident involving amotorcycle and cargo trucks along highway hereover the weekend.Senior Insp. Elias Colonia, Matalam police chief, said the accident transpired along Purok Krislam, Barangay Poblacion, Matalam.Police identified the fatality asKrizamae Seneo of Gen. Santos City while the wounded were motorcycle driverRyan Jay Servanez, 24 of Banga, South Cotabato, Isuzu Elf driverNestor Pandayan, 53 of Eman, Bansalan, Davao del Sur and his helperJoseph Albaracin Alfafara, 38, of Agdao, Davao del Sur.Investigation showedthe motorbike driven by Servanez was hit by speedingElf truck, drivenPandayan, along the highway. Both Servanez and Seneo were thrown off from the motorbike while the Isuzu elf landed on a ditch nearby after hitting an on coming cargo truck driven by Ashley Pasawilan of Dandiangas East, Gen. Santos City.Passersby rushed the victims to the hospital but Seneo was declared dead on arrival. Pandayan was in critical condition at a hospital in DAvao City.The Matalam PNP took custody of Pasawilan and his Isuzu loader truck for further investigation.
