BASILAN ---- The local government of Lamitan City in the province opened to public this week its "Tulip Garden," a showcase of artificial tulips fashioned from recycled materials.

The setting up of the Tulip Garden is meant to highlight the cooperation of the local communities in Lamitan City in furthering a domestic waste management program complementing the environment-protection thrusts of the office of Gov. Jim Salliman.

PASAY CITY – The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) bagged the two major awards in the recently concluded 30th Philippine Travel Mart on Sunday, September 1, at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

The BARMM was awarded as champions for both the Best Booth Competition (Provincial Category) and the Patimpalak ng Kasuotang Pilipino.

COTABATO CITY (Aug. 31) – The Bangsamoro government is making its presence felt in the tourism industry as it participated in the 30th Philippine Travel Mart at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City from August 30 to September 1.

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) is among the country’s vibrant tourist destinations with its rich culture, heritage, colorful tradition, rich marine resources, among others.

These are showcased in the Bangsamoro Pavilion of the Travel Mart venue.

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Foreign and local tourists feasted this morning more than 4,000 kilos of assorted fruits as the city commenced its fruit Timpupo (Harvest) Festival and founding anniversary.

Hundreds of “fruit lovers” who earlier secured a ticket worth P50 that gave them access to the fruit galore site took turns in eating mangosteen, durian, lanzones, and rambutan, among other fruits.

The venue was at the city plaza grounds.

Ngayong araw din gagawin ang SOMAYA-POKIYA na isang “Tribal Ritual of Thanksgiving” Enshrinement of Kidapawan Hero sa City Plaza habang alas 9:00 naman ng umaga ang Farm Family day congress sa City Gymnasium.

ESPERANZA, Sultan Kudarat - People of all ages adore this character that has a special place in their hearts, Hello Kitty is now making a spotlight in a public school here as one teacher filled her classroom with this famous fictional Japanese cartoon character.

Students, visitors and netizens are in awe with the Hello Kitty-themed classroom of Cynthia Landia Galande of Esperanza Central School.

The 2019 Tnalak Festival begins in Koronadal City as South Cotabato celebrates its founding anniversary.

ISABELA CITY --- The Sangguniang Panglunsod is seeking clearance to realign a P50 million budget for a new wharf project to the expansion of a landmark Spanish-era port to boost the local economy.

SP presiding officer Vice Mayor Kifli Salliman and his colleagues have drafted a resolution asking Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade to allow the city government to spend the amount for the expansion of the old and historic Isabela City port instead.

Salliman was elected vice mayor last May 13, along with running mate, the now first-termer mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin Hataman.

KORONADAL CITY - The South Cotabato Tnalak Festival hip-hop competition committee chair has warned the public against solicitations by a group of dancers claiming to be representing South Cotabato.

The warning was issued by Engr. Felix Sadiang-abay, South Cotabato provincial assessor and chair of hip-hop dance competition committee told Radyo Bida Koronadal that no dance group is officially representing the province.
