LEBAK, Sultan Kudarat --- Two commanders of the New People’s Army and six others surrendered here this week, a regional military official said Saturday.

Major Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander of the Army’s 6^th Infantry Division, said the two NPA commanders, Bakilo and Ranger, and their followers yielded through the backchannel efforts of the 37^th Infantry Battalion and local officials.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – A total of twenty-three (23) former violent extremists yields to Joint Task Force Central (JTFC) forces in North Cotabato and Maguindanao Provinces on January 21, 2022 bringing along with them 21 high-powered firearms and several improvised explosive devices.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao - A total of 16 Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighter (BIFF) members decided to lay down their arms and surrender to government troops on January 15, 2022 at Barangay Meta, Datu Unsay, Maguindanao.

Lieutenant Colonel Nathaniel A. Balintong, Commanding Officer of 92nd Infantry Battalion disclosed that seven (7) former BIFF rebels under Karialan Faction and nine (9) under Bungos Faction surrendered to government forces through the joint efforts of 92IB and police units coming from RIU15, CIDG BARMM, and Maguindanao Provincial Police Office.

LAMBAYONG, Sultan Kudarat – The police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) announced today the surrender of 14 Moro extremist rebels operating in Maguindanao and Sultan Kudarat.

Maj. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro, the CIDG national director, presented the surrenderees to local press in Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat Monday morning.  

The rebels turned over assorted firearms and explosives. 

He said the members of Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) surrenered to CIDG personjnel in of Barangay Tinumigues in Lambayong after months of negotiation.

MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato --- Fourteen more members of the outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters have surrendered, a regional Army official said Sunday.

Major Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander of the Army’s 6^th Infantry Division covering six provinces and four cities, said the 14 BIFF members pledged allegiance to the government Thursday through the efforts of the 34^th Infantry Battalion and the 601^st Infantry Brigade.

TACURONG CITY --- Ten members of the New Peoples Army surrendered here Wednesday through the joint intercession of different units of the Police Regional Office-12.

Brig. Gen. Alexander Tagum, PRO-12 director, said Friday the 10 rebels belonged to the NPA’s self-styled Guerilla Front 73-Far South Mindanao Regional Command.

Most leaders of the Guerilla Front-73 are wanted in different courts for heinous offenses, including multiple murder, arson, trafficking of narcotics and cattle theft.

AMPATUAN, Maguindanao --- Twelve more members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, five of them bomb-makers, surrendered here Friday.

The group yielded through the intercession of officials of the 1^st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, the Army’s 6^th Infantry Division, and local executives.

Major Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander of 6^th ID, said Saturday the 12 BIFF members turned in their rifles and a .50 caliber machinegun before they pledged allegiance to the government in the presence of local officials.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – Another ten (10) demoralized NPA rebels bringing along nine (9) firearms surrendered to security forces under Joint Task Force Central in Palimbang Sultan Kudarat on the morning of December 15, 2021.

The Commander of Joint Task Force Central and 6th Infantry Division, Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy, laud the decision of the former NPA rebels to abandon the communist terrorist organization and choose a peaceful life with their families and with the community.

CAMP SK PENDATUN, Maguindanao - Efforts from personnel of Maguindanao Police Provoncial Office in line with the PNP's intensified campaign against loose firearms in preparation to a peaceful and orderly National and Local Election 2022 yielded further success as four (4) high powered loose firearms were voluntary surrendered at the Sultan Sa Barongis Police Station on December 11, 2021.

NORTH UPI, Maguindanao - Fourteen more members of the outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters surrendered to the Army’s 57^th Infantry Battalion here Monday.

The 14 BIFF members, who turned a dozen assault rifles, four fragmentation grenades and a 60 millimeter mortar, pledged allegiance to the government through the intercession of local leaders and officials of the 57^th B.

Their names were withheld pending their relocation to areas far from reach of their hardcore companions.
