11 NPAs yield to Army in North Cotabato

COTABATO CITY – Eleven communist rebels who claimed they were given empty promises by New Peoples Army (NPA) leaders have surrendered to government in North Cotabato Friday.

Colonel Jovencio Gonzales, commander of the Army’s 602nd Infantry Brigade, presented the former communist terrorists to Pigcawayan town Mayor Jean Dino Roquero.

The surrenderees also claimed they belonged to frontline groups of Bayan Muna, Gabriela and United Small Farmers Association of Barangay Midpapan, Pigcawayan.

5 NPAs sumuko sa military sa Lebak, Sultan Kudarat

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao - Limang mga miyembro ng teroristang NPA ang nagbalik-loob sa pamahalaan matapos na sumuko ang mga ito sa tropa ng 57th Infantry (MASIKAP) Battalion sa Edwards Camp, Brgy Mirab, Upi, Maguindanao ngayong araw ika-18 ng Mayo, 2022.

Agad na iprenisinta ni Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Pondanera, ang Battalion Commander ng 57th IB, ang mga sumukong rebelde kay Major General Juvymax R Uy, Commander ng 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division at Joint Task Force Central sa headquarters ng 57th IB.

PSC, OMI open Mindanao Sports of Peace 2022 

MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato – The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) in partnership with Notre Dame of Jolo College and the Oblates of Mary Immaculate Missionary Foundation-Inter-Religious Dialogue (OMF-IRD) Ministry will open today the 3-day Mindanao Sports of Peace 2022 at Notre Dame of Midsayap College grounds.

The brains behind this noble program are PCS chair William “Butch” Ramirez, Fr. Romeo Saniel, OMI and Nu-man C. Caludtiag, chairman of BAngsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Sports for Peace.

6th ID commander renders exit call on Army chief

MANILA - The Philippine Army's 6th Infantry "Kampilan" Division Commander Maj. Gen. Juvymax R. Uy rendered an exit call on Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., on May 2, 2022 at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.

The CGPA commended Maj. Gen. Uy for steering the Kampilan Division to greater heights. The Army Chief likewise lauded the 6ID Commander for leading 6ID troops in neutralizing Local Terrorist Groups (LTGs) and Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) that pose security risks to the people of Central Mindanao.

BIFF, Dawlah members, NPAs surrender to 6th ID together

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao - More than 70 enemies of state, among them six Dawlah Islamiya bomb-makers and 31 New People’s Army guerillas, surrendered to the Army’s 6th Infantry Division Friday.

Major Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander of 6th ID, said during the event that credit for their surrender should go to local executives and peace activists who helped units of the division convince them to return to the fold of law.

Duterte says he fulfilled his promise to bring peace to Mindanao

MANILA – With his term ending in over three months, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte believes that he has been able to deliver his promise to bring peace to Mindanao.

In a prerecorded interview with Pastor Apollo Quiboloy aired Saturday on SMNI, Duterte also gave credit to Bangsamoro leaders for the end of decades-old conflict in Mindanao.

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), led by Chief Minister Ahod “Murad” Ebrahim, was able to “somehow calm” the situation in the region, Duterte said.

Two more in Sultan Kudarat bolt from NPA

COTABATO CITY --- Two members of the New People’s Army balked from burning construction equipment of three firms as ordered and surrendered instead to the Army the other day.

The duo, both members of group that earlier burned bulldozers, payloaders and dump trucks of construction firms, one of which is the Gemma Construction Company, in nearby towns in South Cotabato, returned to the fold of law via the local government unit of Lebak, Sultan Kudarat and the Army’s 37th Infantry Battalion.

2 NPAs yield in Tboli, South Cotabato

CAMP SIONGCO, Mguindanao – The Local Government Unit of T’Boli, South Cotabato along with the Indigenous Peoples’ Community of T’Boli vowed to end the Communist Terrorist Group’s exploitations in their community as they support the surrender of two (2) NPA Terrorists to the 11th Special Forces Company, 5th Special Forces Battalion under the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, 6th Infantry Division, Philippine Army on February 4, 2022 at the said town.

5 more NPAs surrender in Central Mindanao

COTABATO CITY - Five more members of the New People’s Army, three of them collectors of “protection money” from hapless farmers, surrendered to the Army Thursday.

The five guerillas belonged to the NPA’s self-styled West Daguma South Regional Command-Far South Mindanao Region.

Major Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, said Friday they yielded through the intercession of the Army’s 7th Infantry Battalion and the municipal police offices in Bagumbayan and Senator Ninoy Aquino, both in Sultan Kudarat province.

Injured NPA yields to Army in South Cotabato

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – An injured member of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG), identified as a certain Ricky Lumbay alias Jeric, voluntarily surrendered with his caliber 5.56 M16A1 Carbine Rifle to the 11th Special Forces Company, 5th Special Forces Battalion (5SFBn) and the Local Government Unit of T’Boli, South Cotabato today, January 31, 2022 at Barangay Edwards of said town.
