CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte - In commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the January 24 Peace Day, the Mindanao Ulama-Bishop Dialogue Meeting and Joint Statement on the December 3, 2023 Mindanao State University-Marawi Bombing Incident was held at the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA), Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City on January 16, 2024.

6th ID, JTF Central confiscate 80 FAs in 2 months

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte – In a span of two months, the Army-led Joint Task Force Central, headed by Maj. Gen. Alex Rillera, has confiscated 80 assorted highpowered firearms in various law enforcement operations in south-central Mindanao region.

Rillera, also commander of 6th Infantry “Kampilan” Division, presented the confiscated firearms to the 4th Quarter Regional Peace and Order Council Meeting of Region 12 in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.

This time, the TMPT Report covers the period from February 2022 to October 2023 including developments following the May 2022 elections.

Army officials welcome surrender of 12 NPAs in SoCot, SulKud 

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao Norte  – Military authorities in mainland Mindanao today welcomed the surrender of four communist rebels and facilitated their entry to the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).

Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) chief Lt. Gen. William Gonzales and 6th Infantry Division commander Maj. Gen. Alex Rillera welcomed the four former New Peoples’ Army (NPA) rebels during surrender rites at 603rd brigade headquarters in Barangay Milbuk, Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat.

COTABATO CITY - Senior Army and police officials lauded on Thursday the Army’s 6th Infantry Division for having secured the surrender of 772 local terrorists and members of the now moribund New People’s Army in the past 28 months.

Candidates identified with MNLF win aspired posts 

COTABATO CITY - Some 300 aspirants in the Bangsamoro region for barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan posts identified with the Moro National Liberation Front got elected on Monday, for peace advocates beneficial to the southern peace process.

Local government officials in the autonomous region are expecting the proclamation within the next 36 hours of no fewer than 200 more winning candidates who are either children or relatives of MNLF leaders in the island provinces of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.

Defense chief witnesses dispersal of aid to ex-Moro rebels

COTABATO CITY -- Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro on Wednesday witnessed the turnover of livelihood assistance to former Moro violent extremists at the Maguindanao del Sur provincial capitol in Buluan town.

At least 50 former members of Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) and Dawlah Islamiyah terrorist group members were presented to Sec. Teodoro by Maguindanao Gov. Bai Mariam Mangudadatu.
