Shabu dealers linked to terror group arrested 

COTABATO CITY --- The police seized P643,000 worth of shabu from two different dealers, both linked to the Dawlah Islamiya, entrapped in separate operations Tuesday in Cotabato province.

In a statement Wednesday, the office of Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, director of the Police Regional Office 12, identified the suspects as Fahad Macauyag, 44, and the 32-year-old Mojahid Silva, now locked in detention facilities.

Soldiers gun down 3 NPAs in Sultan Kudarat

COTABATO CITY - Three members of the New People’s Army collecting “revolutionary tax” from villagers were killed in a firefight with soldiers in Sultan Kudarat province Thursday.

Brig. Gen. Michael Santos, commander of the Army’s 603rd Infantry Brigade, said Friday personnel of the 7th Infantry Battalion also found four assault rifles, grenades and ammunition of various calibers in the scene of the encounter in Barangay Banali in Senator Ninoy Aquino town.

Senator Ninoy Aquino is an upland town in Sultan Kudarat province in Region 12.

SAF battalion deployed in troubled Pikit town

COTABATO CITY - Stakeholders were elated with Tuesday’s deployment of a battalion-size Special Action Force contingent in Pikit, Cotabato to help address the nagging security problems in the municipality. 

The SAF is an elite combat-ready unit of the Philippine National Police, ready for more extensive and intricate law-enforcement operations.

Soldiers kill senior NPA official in South Cotabato

COTABATO CITY --- Soldiers shot dead a recalcitrant regional official of the New People’s Army in a bungled attempt to arrest him peacefully in T’boli, South Cotabato on Saturday, Feb. 18.

Martin Min Fay, vice chief of the NPA’s self-styled Front Organizational Command for Central Mindanao-Far South Mindanao Region, died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds.

Fay, an ethnic T’boli tribesman, was wanted for 13 criminal cases, including arson and multiple murder, pending in different courts in the adjoining South Cotabato and Sarangani provinces in Region 12.

ANG 100 strong police force ay personal na sinalubong ni BARMM police regional director Brig. Gen. John Guyguyon sa Camp SK Pendatun, Parang, Maguindanao.del Norte kahapon.

Karamihan sa mga pulis ay nagmula pa sa Luzon at Visayas na pinadala ni PNP Chief RODOLFO Azurin JR. Karamihan sa kanila ay itatalaga sa Pikit na tutulong na mapanatili ang peace and order kasunod ng mga nangyayaring patayan sa bayan.

Special group now probing on Lanao Sur exec's ambush

COTABATO CITY - Members of a police-led special investigation task group now looking into Friday’s ambush of the governor of Lanao del Sur are optimistic they can soon identify and prosecute the people behind it. 

Brig. Gen. John Guyguyon, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, told reporters Monday local officials in the province and traditional Maranao leaders have assured of their support to the SITG’s effort to put closure to the incident.

“The SITG is now working towards that goal,” Guyguyon said.

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Naglaan na ng mas malaking halaga ang Local Government Unit ng Pikit, North Cotabato para sa agarang pagkakahuli ng mga responsable sa pamamaril sa bayan.

Mula sa 100,000 naging 400,000 pesos na ang alok na reward money sa makakapagturo o makakapagbigay ng impormasyon sa kinaruruonan ng mga suspect sa serye ng shooting incident.

P200,000 para kay Fahad Guimalon na 13-anyos na estudyante nitong February 14 at P200,000 rin para sa kaso ni Jose Neri Gonzales nito namang February 13.

BIFF leader tagged in ambush-slay of cops gunned down 

TACURONG CITY --- Soldiers killed here Saturday a local terrorist wanted for the fatal ambush of a town police chief and an escort last year in Maguindanao del Sur and other heinous offenses, including coddling of drug dealers.

Abdulkarim Lumbatan Hashim, most known as Commander Jacket of the outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, and a still unidentified companion, died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds sustained in the brief gunfight in the premises of the bus terminal here.
