COTABATO CITY – The police operation against a former town mayor in Sulu who have search warrants rose to more than 5,000, the social welfare office in Sulu said.

In his social media post, Member of Parliament Nabil Tan reported that many of the displaced families Matatal Gym, Maimbung, Sulu. Most of them from Bualo Lipid who fled their homes firefight erupted between government forces and armed followers of former Maimbung Vice Mayor Pando Mudjasan.

Police were to serve arrest warrants against Mudjasan for various crimes but he resisted, triggering heavy firefight.

COTABATO CITY - Some 3,000 Tausug villagers got displaced by the gunfights on Saturday in Maimbung, Sulu between followers of a former vice mayor and government troops that left a policeman dead and hurt 14 others.

COTABATO CITY - Seven policemen and a soldier got hurt in a bungled attempt to arrest Saturday in Maimbung town in Sulu a former vice mayor long wanted for heinous criminal offenses.

The Sulu Provincial Police Office, in a report to Brig. Gen. Allan Nobleza, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region here, said soldiers and policemen were to serve former Maimbung Vice Mayor Pando Mudjasan warrants of arrest for various cases pending in different courts but he and his followers, armed with assault rifles resisted, provoking a gunfight.

AMPATUAN, Maguindanao Sur  – Fighting erupted anew between members of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in remote villages here Tuesday morning, the Army said.

“We are validating this report, but initially reports showed three were reported killed in the on-going skirmishes,” said Brig. Gen. Oriel Pangcog, commander of 601st Infantry Brigade based here.

Pangcog said the skirmishes that started at 9 a.m. today in the adjoining Barangay Dapiawan, Datu Saudi Ampatuan and Barnagay Pamalian, Shariff Saydona town, both in Maguindanao del Sur, sent civilians fleeing.

CAMP SK PENDATUN, Maguindano Norte  – Seven gunmen were killed during shootout while police authorities were implementing warrant operation in Datu Paglas, Maguindanao del Sur, the police here said.

Brig. Gen. Allan Nobleza, police regional director of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), said the operation was conducted in the gunmen’s safe house in Barangay Damawato, Datu Paglas, Maguindanao del Norte at 2 a.m. Sunday.

“The fighting lasted for about two hours,” he added.

SHARIFF AGUAK, Maguindanao Sur  – Police Brig. Gen. Allan Nobleza, regional director for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has formed a Special Investigation Task Group to probe the ambush of in Barangay Poblacion here Wednesday that left two soldiers killed and four others injured.

Nobleza also condemned the attack even as he expressed condolences to the families of slain police officers.

“My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of the two slain policemen in the ambush-slay Wednesday night,” Nobleza said.

MARAWI CITY --- A team of combined soldiers and policemen killed the “emir” of the Dawlah Islamiya in a 10-minute clash here before dawn Wednesday.

Brig. Gen. Allan C. Nobleza, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, said Wednesday a raiding team was to serve Faharudin Pumbuaya Pangalian different warrants of arrest but neutralized him instead when he resisted and provoked a gunfight.

ZAMBOANGA CITY - The military in Basilan has rescued an Indonesian teenager from the hands of terrorists on Saturday (June 3), the Western Midnanao command said. 

While conducting a focused military operation targeting Sulu-based Daulah Islamiyah-Abu Sayyaf Group (DI-ASG) subleader Mudzrimar Sawadjaan, a.k.a. Mundi, and Basilan-based ASG subleader Pasil Bayali, a.k.a. Kera, troops of the 5th Scout Ranger Battalion were able to seize the harboring position of the target at Sitio Lobloban, Barangay Guiong, Sumisip, Basilan and rescued an Indonesian National.
