1 BIFF patay sa engkwentro sa Maguindanao

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – Patay ang isang miyembro ng Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighter (BIFF) sa nangyaring engkwentro sa pagitan nila at ng tropa ng pamahalaan sa Brgy Damablac, Talayan, Maguindanao.

Sa ulat na nakarating sa pamunuan ni Colonel Oriel L Pangcog, Commander ng 601st Brigade na madaling araw kanina ng maka-engkwentro ng tropa ng pamahalaan ang nasa 18 kasapi ng BIFF-Bungos faction sa lugar.

BIFF bomb-maker surrenders in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY - A bomb-maker of the outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters surrendered to the Army and pledged allegiance to the government, the 13th in just five months.

The BIFF member, whose real name was withheld pending relocation to an area far from reach of companions, turned in a 5.56 Ultimax light machinegun to officials of the 1st Brigade Combat Team and the 6th Mechanized Battalion during a simple rite Wednesday in Sultan Kudarat town in Maguindanao.

5 die as MILF infighting continues in NoCot

KIDAPAWAN CITY — At least five people, four belonging to Moro armed group, were killed when two rebel groups figured in an infighting in Pikit, North Cotabato.

The fighting believed to be an offshoot of the murder of a village chair involved Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) guerillas in Barangay Macabual also sent about 100 villagers fleeing to nearby communities amid floods the submerged many barangays in Pikit.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – The new commander of the 6th Infantry Division on Thursday said he will always recognize the gallantry of government troops in protecting the Filipino people as well as give recognition to the Mujahideens (freedom fighters) who fought for the Bangsamoro where the 6th ID operates.

Villagers displaced as Moro groups clash

COTABATO CITY - Two heavily armed Moro groups in the troubled Pikit town in North Cotabato traded shots late Wednesday, sending hundreds of villagers running for their lives.

Local officials said two villagers were slightly wounded in the crossfire.

Manhunt launched vs. armed men in series of gun attacks in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY  – Police have launched manhunt against gunmen involved in separate shooting incidents that left four persons dead in Maguindanao Tuesday.

Colonel Christopher Panapan, Maguindanao police director, told reporters he has ordered manhunt against the suspects to give justice to victims of lawlessness.

A couple was gunned down by two men riding tandem on motorbike in Datu Salibo, Maguindanao at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

ZAMBOANGA CITY = A Daulah Islamiyah-Hassan Group member was killed while another was apprehended in an encounter with the military in Barangay Dicalungan, Ampatuan, Maguindanao in the wee hours of August 5, 2022.

Troops of the 40th Infantry Battalion conducted focused military operation (FMO) in response to the reports received of the hostile plans of the DI-Maguindanao against the CSP-PCVE Teams deployed in the area of responsibility of the 601st Infantry Brigade. The operation resulted in an encounter with the members of Daulah Islamiyah-Hassan Group led by a.k.a. Alpha King.

Family of 3 slain in gun attack in Maguindanao

A family of three was massacred Tuesday dawn by still unidentified gunmen in the volatile town of Mamasapano.

Major Maximiano Gerodias, Mamasapano town police chief, said undetermined number of armed men arrived at past midnight today (Aug. 2) and strafed the house of Abdulkadir Matuwa, 53, farmer in Sitio Pamalian, Barangay Mangungkaling.

The strafing left Abdulkadir, his wife Zahera, 32 and their 5-year-old daughter Nhala all dead.

A 9-month-old baby was miraculously unharmed.
