Bagong armas ng AFP na 155 Howitzers isinalang sa live fire exercises

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte – Isinagawa ang tatlong araw na live fire exercises sa bagong armas ng Hukbong Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas na 155 Self-Propelled (ATMOS 2000) Howitzers sa Barangay Talisawa, Datu Abdullah Sangki, Maguindanao del Sur, mula Nobyembre 9-11, 2022.

Ayon kay Lt. Col. Chamberlain Esmino, Commander ng 10th Field Artillery Battalion na ang nasabing aktibidad ay bahagi ng pagtatapos ng 10FAB Battalion Organizational Training na mangangasiwa sa nasabing armas.

Truce ends Army-MILF showdown in Basilan

COTABATO CITY - Local executives assured Friday to help monitor the interim truce meant to stave off hostilities between the military and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front in Ungkaya Pukan, Basilan.

Four MILF members and three soldiers were Killed in the three day clashes in Barangay Ulitan, Ungkaya Pukan that started Tuesday.

Sinabi ni Maj. Gen. Rojas na ang information hinggil sa apat na pasaherong babae ay mula sa driver at conductor ng bus.

Authorities: 2 terror groups connived in bus bombing

TACURONG CITY - Investigators are convinced the Al-Khobar and its ally, the Dawlah Islamiya, connived in Sunday’s bombing of a bus here that left a passenger dead and hurt 11 others.

Both groups are known for bombing public conveyances and business establishments to compel owners to pay "protection money" on monthly basis.

1 dead, 11 hurt in Tacurong City bus bombing

COTABATO CITY - A passenger was killed while 11 others were badly hurt in a bomb explosion inside a bus in Tacurong City at noontime Sunday.

Lt. Col. Joan Maganto, chief of the Tacurong City Police, said Sunday the unit of the Yellow Bus Company was on its way to the city terminal, from North Cotabato, when the improvised explosive device went off.

Probers are certain the IED used in the attack was detonated from a distance using a mobile phone.

Soldier dead, 2 hurt in BIFF attack; IEDs found along highway

COTABATO CITY - A soldier was killed while two others were wounded when local terrorists fired at an Army team out on a humanitarian mission in Datu Hoffer, Maguindanao del Sur late Friday.

Major Gen. Roy Galido, commander of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, and Brig. Gen. John Guyguyon of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region on Saturday separately condemned the atrocity, perpetrated by the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF).

Slain NPA official had 39 cases pending in courts

COTABATO CITY --- A leader of the New People’s Army wanted for 39 high-profile criminal cases was killed in a brief shootout with soldiers in Sultan Kudarat province Monday. 

Col. Michael Santos, commander of the Army’s 603rd Infantry Brigade, said Tuesday Emmanuel Fernandez died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds. 

3 CAFGU members killed in Pikit ambush

PIKIT, Noth Cotabato  – Three militiamen were slain Sunday morning in latest gun attack in this troubled town.

Mayor Sumulong Sultan of Pikit confirmed the attack and ordered Lt. Colonel John Miridel Calinga, town police chiefm to identify the attackers and bring them before the bar of justice.

“The police are hunting down the suspects,” Mayor Sultan said the vernacular in a radio interview of the ambush in Barangay Manaulanan but refused to provide further details.
