1 killed, 3 others hurt in Maguindanao del Sur ambush

NANGYARI ang ambush sa Barangay Lower Salbu,Datu Saudi Ampatuan,Maguindanao del Sur pasado ala 1:00 ng hapon kanina.

Ayon kay Maguindanao PNP Public Information Officer Major Reggie Albellera, dead on arrival sa pagamutan ang mismong padre de pamilya na si Junior Sumlay, 42, siyang driver ng minamaneho nitong pulang mutlicab.

Father, son dead in Mlang ambush incident

COTABATO CITY - Gunmen killed a Moro farmer active in peacebuilding programs and his son in an ambush Tuesday night in Mlang town in Cotabato province.

In a statement Tuesday, the office of Brig. Gen. Jamil Macaraeg, director of the Police Regional Office 12, identified the fatalities as Tatuan Mangelen Buisan and his son, Benjie.

They were riding a motorcycle together en route to somewhere when gunmen positioned along a road in Barangay Dunguan in Mlang flagged them down and shot them with pistols.

4 killed as MILF groups clash in Maguindanao del Sur 

COTABATO CITY --- Four were killed in separate gunfights Tuesday between rival Moro groups in two towns in Maguindanao del Sur that forced dozens of poor families to relocate to safe areas.

Lt. Nurjhasser Sali, municipal police chief of Datu Montawal, told reporters Wednesday a gunman named Khalid Mindalagat perished when two Moro clans, armed with assault rifles, fought Tuesday at the border of Barangays Dungguan and Palapas.

2 dead in gunfight between Moro groups

COTABATO CITY - Two gunmen were killed as rival Moro groups traded shots before dawn Tuesday in Sultan sa Barongis town in Maguindanao del Sur, causing panic among villagers in houses nearby.

Local leaders in Sultan sa Barongis and officials of the Maguindanao Provincial Police Office told reporters the hostilities erupted when gunmen led by Marham Sali attacked the group of Ustadz Daya in Damabagu area in Sultan sa Barongis at around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday.

4 BIFF men hurt in clash with soldiers

COTABATO CITY - Four from a group of local terrorists were wounded as they tried to take over on Sunday night, December 25, an Army detachment in Maguindanao del Sur province.

The slain members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, initially identified only by traditional community elders as Talib, Musib, Oting and Guiadil, were among gunmen who attacked a roadside detachment of the Army’s 40th Infantry Battalion in Barangay Labo-Labo 2 in Datu Hofer, Maguindanao del Sur.

Henchman of Maute group founders surrender

COTABATO CITY --- A henchman of the slain founders of the Maute terrorist group that instigated the deadly 2017 siege of Marawi City surrendered Wednesday.

The now 20-year-old Mashod, whose real name was withheld for his safety, first yielded Monday to barangay officials in Madalum, Lanao del Sur and the commanding officer of the Army’s 51st Infantry Battalion, Lt. Col. Angestal Angeles.

44 BIFF men back to fold of law

COTABATO CITY – A group of 44 local terrorists, seven of them experts in fabrication of bombs, surrendered to the Army Sunday.

Four of the 44 members of the outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, who renounced their membership with the group in a symbolic rite in Kabacan town in Cotabato, are commanders, according to local officials. 

Phil. Marines capture Dawlah Islamiya Maute Group camp in Lanao Sur

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao  – Military forces captured an encampment of Dawlah Islamiya-Maute Group in Lanao del Sur and recovered war materials and explosives, the Army here said.

Major Gen. Roy Galido, commander of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, said civilians in Marogong, Lanao del Sur have provided the Philippine Marines vital information about the presence of gunmen in the village of Bagumbayan.

After the intelligence information was confirmed, Major Gen. Galido said a law enforcement operation was launched by First Marine Brigade.

9 dead in Aleosan skirmishes

COTABATO CITY  - Siyam na ang kumpirmadong patay kabilang ang limang CAA member matapos ang nangyaring sagupaan sa pagitan ng Civilian Active Auxiliary o CAA member at armadong grupo sa Sitio Mantawak, barangay Tapodoc, Aleosan, Cotabato, alas 2:20 ng hapon kahapon.

Sa report ng Aleosan PNP, bago ang palitan ng putok ay una umanong inambush ng mga armadong suspek ang isang CAA member habang sakay ito sa isang motorsiklo na kinilalang si Ramel Santillan.

COTABATO CITY - TULOY ANG PAGHAHANAP ng mga tauhan ng Buldon PNP sa tulong ng Philippine Marines sa mga taong responsible sa pagsalakay sa CAFGU temporary outpost sa isang tulay sa Buldon, Maguindanao del Norte.

Nasawi on the spot sa naturang pamamaril sina CAFGU members Christian Silvestre, Ignacio Lozad at Dondon Ahito.

Ang ikaapat na CAFGU ay nasawi kagabi na kinilalang si Arnel Cayanan habang patuloy na inoobserbahan ang kalagayan ng isa pa na kinilalang si Calbertson Baggay.
