Cotabato Light to experience power interruption Sept 13 due to NGCP activities

COTABATO CITY - The Natioal Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has scheduled power interruption today that will affect the entire franchise area of Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light).

In a statement, the NGCP said the interruption will come at 7:00 to 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 13, Sunday.

This is to facilitate the transfer of sources of power from Cotabato Light and Maguindanao Electric 
Cooperative to NGCP Tacurong substation and normalization afterwards.



34 Covid-19 survivors among BARMM's 189 new cops

COTABATO CITY – The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has 189 new police officers who completed the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) on Friday.

Belonging to PSBRC Class 2020, the graduates completed the 24-week course designed for newly-appointed police non-commissioned officers to provide them with the basic knowledge and skills in police science, administration, combat operation, and tactics required in the performance of their jobs.


Cotabato Light announces payment center sked on no movement day

COTABATO CITY - On Sept. 12, Saturday, the Cotabato Light accredited service center is open only from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no noon break.  At 3 p.m. on Saturday, the city will impose no movement for anyone in the city except for frontliners and emergencies.


No movement Saturday (Sept. 12) starts at 3 p.m. and no movement Sunday on Sept. 13

COTABATO CITY - The Cotabato City govenrment reimposes no movement Saturday (Spet. 12) and Sunday (Sept. 13).

In a bulleting, the city govenrment said no movement Saturday will commence at 3 p.m. onwards.

All these are part of the health protocols being applied while the city is reeling from rising number of COVID-19 cases the past few days.

Lockdown is in effect in Barangay Poblacion 6 for two weeks starting Sept. 10. 


Public urged to help identify fatality in Guindulungan ambush

MAGUINDANAO --- The police again urged the public today to help identify the motorist killed in an ambush in Guindulungan town on Wednesday morning.

The Regional Crime Laboratory Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region told this media outfit via a statement Thursday that efforts to identify the victim are still underway.

The Guindulungan municipal police and the RCLO-BAR are also trying to identify the slain man through the engine and chassis numbers of his motorcycle police forensic experts found at the crime scene.


Cotabato Light announces Sept. 12 power interruption

COTABATO CITY - The scheduled power interruption will occur from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Barangay Tamontaka Mother.


NDBC COVID WATCH: Taga Cotabato City nasawi dahil sa COVID; DOH-12, nakapagtala ng 37 new cases

COTABATO CITY - Naitala ng Department of Health sa Region ang 37 bagong kaso ng COVID-19 patients hanggang kagabi.  Dahil diyan, abot na ngayon sa 714 ang total confirmed cases sa rehiyon.

Sa 37 bagong kaso, isa ang mula Cotabato City, 22 mula South Cotabato.

Pito naman ang gumaling na kinabibilangan ng tatlo mula South Cotabato, dalawa mula North Cotabato, isa mula Sultan Kudarat at isa mula Cotabato City.


Unidentified motorist killed in Guindulungan ambush

MAGUINDANAO --- Police forensic experts are still clueless on the identity of a motorist killed in an ambush Wednesday morning in Guindulungan town.

Personnel of the police’s Regional Crime Laboratory Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region immediately brought the victim’s cadaver to a mortuary in Cotabato City after sifting through the crime scene in Barangay Bagan in Guindulungan.

Guindulungan is located in the second district of Maguindanao.


SSS Koronadal closes office as employee tests positive for Covid-19

KORONADAL CITY - The Social Security System branch here was closed after one of its staff was tested positive for Covid 19 in the community where the employee resides, the SSS said in a statement.

SSS-Koronadal office is located at the second floor of Gaisano-Marbel.  Its adjacent office, the Land Transportation office licensing division, was also closed due to Covid infections.



Gov. Catamco meets kins of Kabacan massacre victims, vows to support probe

KABACAN, North Cotabato – North Cotabato Gov. Nancy Catamco has assured relatives of Kabacan massacre victims that the provincial government will continue hunting down the perpetrators so that justice is served.

Catamco made the assurance as she met with the spouses and immediate families of nine Moro people who were killed by still unidentified gunmen near the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) campus on Aug. 29.
