Sen. Pacquiao graces inauguration of new TESDA regional office in Koronadal City

KORONADAL CITY - Technical Education and Skills Development Authority 12 has its regional office after 18 long years since the administrative seat was transferred to Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

Senator Emmanuel Pacquiao together with TESDA Director General Secretary Isidro S. Lapeña led the inauguration of the P35 million worth regional office together with the Local Government Unit of Koronadal City and South Cotabato.

Senator Pacquiao assured that he will continue to help and promote the TechVoc program not only for Region 12 but all over the country as well.

Cotabato Light announces franchise-wide brownout on Sept. 13

2 NPAs behind Kalamansig arson, ambush attacks killed  

SULTAN KUDARAT --- Soldiers killed Sunday two of the New People’s Army guerillas who burned a backhoe of a construction firm and killed a soldier in separate attacks the same day week in Kalamansig town.

The duo was neutralized by pursuing personnel of the Army’s 37th Infantry Battalion in an encounter at the border of Barangays Santa Clara and Andong in Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat.

Magnitude 6.4 quake rocks Davao Occidental

KORONADAL CITY - A magnitude 6.4 quake rocked south-easstern Mindanao Sunday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported.

In a bulletin, the Phivolcs said the quake was tectonic in origin and came at 11:23 p.m.

It's epicenter was traced 26 kilometers south of Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental and has depth of 143 kilometers.

NDBC COVID WATCH: 2 new cases reported in South Upi, Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY -- Two more residents of South Upi, Maguindanao have been tested positive to COVID-19, raising the town's total confirmed cases to three. The first who had travel history to Cebu City has already recovered.

The second patient was exposed to someone from Cotabato City and the third was exposed to the Ctoabato Regional and Medical Center, according to South Upi Mayor Reynalbert Insular.

Insular ordered the lockdown of Barangays Timanan and Romongaob as well as the municipal hall for disinfection and decontamination.

The lockdown will last for 14 days.
