ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat - A fire of still unknown origin damaged a house and a car in a fire incident that hit this town on Fire Prevention Month Monday afternoon.The fire occurred at 5:30 p.m. in Barangay Dansuli and destroyed about P200,000 worth of properties.It was owned by Camsa Family of Galinato Subdivision . Fire officers declared fire out about an hour later.

Koronadal to honor int'l designer from Marbel

KORONADAL CITY -- A local designer who made waves in the international designers' competition will receive an incentive from the local government here, officials said today. City Mayor Peter Miguel said Filipino designer Jared Servano who hails from Koronadal City has brought honors to the city and its people, thus he deserved a monetary incentive and recognition. We appreciate his winning, not only in the local but also in the international scene, Miguel told DXOM-AM Radyo Bida. Servano won third in the International Fashion Showcase held in London last February 23.

Kidapawan's top 3 most wanted man falls

KIDAPAWAN CITY - – Authorities nabbed in Davao City on Friday the number three most wanted person here. The suspect, identified as Joel Marapuk Olip, also known as ‘Apyot’, was apprehended in his hometown in Davao City. Olip, records from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (CIDT) North Cotabato, is Kidapawan City’s top three most wanted person. He is facing at least two counts of frustrated homicide which happened in 2013. The warrant for Olip’s arrest was issued in August 2013 by Judge Arvin Sadiri Balagot of the Regional Trial Court branch 17 here.

Fire hits candy factory in Isulan

KORONADAL CITY -- A fire of still unknown origin destroyed a candy factory in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat at past noon Thursday, fire officials said.Fire Officer 1 Joefer Fortaleza, Bureau of Fire Protection spokesperson, said arson investigators are still determining the cause of the fire on candy factory owned byMario Arciaga in Barangay Dansuli.Fortaleza said the fire originated at the kitchen section of the establishment and quickly spread to other parts of the structure made of both concrete and light materials.It was the first fire incident in March, fire prevention month.
