POLOMOLOK, South Cotabato - The sinkhole in a village here has been threatening a residential area and the hole is getting bigger by the day, residents said.Mines and Geoscience Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources have been investigating how the hole was developed and its causes.

KORONADAL CITY – Six persons were arrested in
separate police anti-drug operations in South Cotabato the past two days as
authorities intensified implementation of PROJECT DUTERTE.

Police have been implementing a nationwide campaign
dubbed Double Barrel” and regional campaign called PROJECT DUTERTE” which
stands for Drug Use and Trafficking
Elimination through Rehabilitation, Training and Enforcement,” an initiative of
the Police Regional Office No. 12 in support to President Rodrigo Duterte’s
anti-drug campaign.

SHARIFF AGUAK,
Maguindanao – Gunmen on board a tricycle ambushed and killed today the
provincial engineer of Maguindanao and two others shortly after lunch Thursday.

Police
identified the victims as Maguindanao Engr. Landap Guinaid, 46, his son Anwar
and a relative, Samaon Lauban Pagkawilan, 56.

Survived but injured
was Guianid’s other son, Pfc. Abdulaziz Lauban Guinaid, 25.

COTABATO CITY --Bomb 'victims' lie on the ground as rescue personnel responds to these 'victims' at the Cotabato City plaza during a bomb simulation drill on Thursday, July 28. The drill features a city-wide simulation of all possible scenarios in case of a bombing attack. KOROANDAL CITY -- Joint police and Philippine Marines forces arrested today three persons and seized high powered firearms and illegal drugs in a remote village in Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat. early Tuesday between government forces and outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom
Fighters (BIFF) in Datu Shariff Saydona, Maguindanao, the Army here said.

Sobejana, commander of the 601st Infantry Brigade, said four more
members of the 34th Infantry Battalion and 10 BIFF fighters were
also wounded during the skirmishes triggered by dawn harassment Moro rebels.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao-- Two bandits were killed while three soldiers were wounded in a series of firefights early Tuesday in Shariff Saidona town in Maguindanao.
The hostilities erupted when members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) ambushed a group of soldiers patrolling in Barangay Pamalian in Shariff Saidona, sparking sporadic clashes that lasted until almost noontime Tuesday.
