COTABATO CITY
– The online news portal of the Notre Dame Broadcasting Corporation (NDBC)
today recorded more than 1 million viewers 14 months after it entered the
cyberspace.

At 9:40 p.m. today,
Nov. 12, and//www.ndbcnews.com.ph/ www.ndbcnews.com.ph has already 1,000,005 hits.

NDBC embarked
on the new media platform in propagating up to date news, to its Chief
Executive Listeners (CEL) as its Winning Aspiration or Mission Statement.”

Jellyroll, milk candy down 20 in Tupi, South Cotabato

KORONADAL CITY – A suspected spoiled jellyroll cake and yema candy downed at least 20 people in what authorities believed was a case of food poisoning in Tupi, South Cotabato Tuesday, officials said today.It was the second case of possible food poisoning in South Cotabato since Sunday. Emil Sumagaysay, Tupi Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (MDRRMO), the patients who were rushed to the hospital were residents of Barangays Acmonan, Kablon and Poblacion. Two of the patients have been discharged Wednesday morning.

Hailstorm hits part of Koronadal City

KORONADAL CITY
- Hailstorm has occurred in parts of Barnagay San Roque, Koronadal City on
Tuesday afternoon following sudden rain with strong winds, residents said.

Ice as big as mongo
beans reportedly rained in Purok Manabe, Barangay San Roque at past 3 p.m with
blowing winds that thrown off ceilings of some houses made of light materials,
DXOM-AM Radyo Bida reported today.

Heavy rains,
thunderstorms and strong winds also wiped down banana trees of Lapanday Food
Corporation and corn fields in the village.

COTABATO CITY - The Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) today implemented scheduled power interruption due to limited supply from National Power Corporation to the Mindanao grid Tuesday.In a statement, Arlene Hipega of Cotabato Light Communications Office, saidPSALM limits it's allocation becauseAgus 1 andamp 2 Hydro power plants are still not on line to the Grid. Thus, Cotabato Light will have to implement one (1) hourrotational interruption today in selected feeders.

Man arrested for gun possession in Kabacan

KABACAN, North Cotabato - A man suspiciously hanging around abusiness establishment along Rizal Avenue here was arrested for carrying an unlicensed gun, police said.Senior Insp. Ronnie Cordero, Kabacan police chief, said Aljie Maidu, 37,of Sitio Malabuwaya, Barangay Kayaga, Kabacan has been charged with illegal possession for firearms.He was seen by police officers detailed along Rizal Avenue with a cal. 45 pistol tucked on his waist.

Army, PNP to host dialgoue of warring farmers in Maguindanao-Sultan Kudarat borders

SANGKI, Maguindanao – The military, police and the local governments are
initiating dialogues to settle peacefully the brewing armed conflict triggered
by land dispute involving Ilonggo and Moro farmers in the borders of
Maguindanao and Sultan Kudarat.

Lt. Colonel
Ricky Bunayog, 33rd Infantry Battalion commander, told DXMS Radyo
Bida that the warring groups are contesting a 40 hectare farm land for several
years now.

Sulu school principal shot dead

COTABATO CITY -- An unidentified gunman shot dead Saturday night the officer in charge of a public high school in Luuk, Sulu, the military-led Joint Task Group Sulu said.In a reported posted on TJTG-Suluwebsite,Brig. Gen. Alan Arrojado, JTG-Sulu commander, identified the slain school head as Edwin Saraji, 41, a resident of Kakuyagan Village, Jolo, Sulu.
