4 die, 3 hurt in North Cotabato massacre

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Four members of a family, three of them children, were killed while three others were wounded when unidentified armed men strafed their house with bullets in a remote village in Carmen town in North Cotabato, around 730 p.m., Monday. Grenade found, defused near Cotabato City restaurant

COTABATO CITY – Police and military
bomb experts safely defused a live hand grenade found at the vicinity of a
restaurant along Sinsuat Avenue Sunday night, Cotabato City.

Senior Supt. Raul Supiter,
Cotabato City police director, said the grenade was found just in front of Cafe
Florencio Bingo Centeralong Sinsuat Avenue at past 8 p.m.

Responding bomb experts said the
grenade was live and has no more safety lever.
