ARMM joins world in condemning violence, terror, to have subdued anniv celebration

COTABATO CITY- This year's commemoration of the anniversary of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) will be marked with a muted celebration in the wake of terror attacks that claimed hundreds of lives around the world.


4 die, 3 hurt in North Cotabato massacre

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Four members of a family, three of them children, were killed while three others were wounded when unidentified armed men strafed their house with bullets in a remote village in Carmen town in North Cotabato, around 730 p.m., Monday. Superintendent Bernard Tayong, spokesman for the Cotabato Police Provincial Office (CPPO), identified the victims as Sarah Agal, 9 Pama Agal, 10 Mustafa Agal, 12 and Ibrahim Agal, 50, all residents of Barangay Ugalingan, Carmen.

Grenade found, defused near Cotabato City restaurant

COTABATO CITY – Police and military
bomb experts safely defused a live hand grenade found at the vicinity of a
restaurant along Sinsuat Avenue Sunday night, Cotabato City.

Senior Supt. Raul Supiter,
Cotabato City police director, said the grenade was found just in front of Cafe
Florencio Bingo Centeralong Sinsuat Avenue at past 8 p.m.

Responding bomb experts said the
grenade was live and has no more safety lever.
