NPAs harass Army base in NorCot village

Sultan Kudarat cops arrest suspected Marawi drug dealers

KORONADAL CITY - At least P960,000 worth of suspected methampetamine hydrochloride or shabu were seized while two suspected drug couriers were arrested during a buy bust operation in Barangay Villamor,Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat Monday, police said.Senior Inspector Esbon Llamazares, Esperanza chief of police, identified the suspects as Muhamad Fahad Malik and Zainan Abedin Ali, both residents of Marawi City. Seized from the suspects were at least 119 grams of suspected shabu, and an unlicensed 45revolver,” Llamazares told DXOM FM Koronadal City Tuesday.

– An Army Captain and one of his men were hurt when communist rebels set off
several improvised land mines in a remote village in Magpet, North Cotabato
Sunday afternoon, an Army official said today.

Radyo Bida Kidapawan that two of his men were slightly hurt when members of
the New Peoples’ Army (NPA) set off two or more improvised land mine along a
dirt road in Barangay Balite, Magpet, North Cotabato at past 3 p.m.


Pikit purok leader hurt in grenade attack

KIDAPAWAN CITY -A purok leader in the town of Pikit, North Cotabato was hurt when unidentified suspects fired an explosive using grenade launcher towards his residence on Saturday evening, local police said. Police Senior Inspector Sindato Karim, Pikit PNP chief, identified the victim as Mantol Mamulindas, 43. He was hit in his knee. Karim said Mamulindas was outside his house, particularly in Purok Sunshine in Barangay Poblacion, when the explosion happened. The victim's house also sustained damages.


Kidapawan City changes heart, allows use of fireworks, firecrakers

South Upi cops seize marijuana plants, arrest owner

COTABATO CITY - A man was arrested while more than 50fully grown marijuana plants were uprooted by police in a remote village in South Upi, Maguindanaohere Thursday, police said.The marijuana plants were seized in Barangay Romanggaob, South Upi, Maguindanao and owned by GayDagadas.Police arrested Dagadas who was asleep when the raiding team arrived in his home, according to Senior Inspector Roel Villarin, South Upi police chief. Villarin told DXMS Radyo Bida thatDagadas had been placed on close surveillance in the past few weeks.


DPWH asked to explain why incomplete projects reported as completed

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Cotabato City district
office has a lot of explaining to do for incomplete infrastructure projects
reported as 100 percent complete.

Guiani Sayadi, Cotabato City administrator, said she was surprise to see the
DPWH report that several projects in the city have been reported on paper as
100 percent complete but in truth and in fact they were not.
