CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao -– The military here has blamed outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) for the series of bomb attacks in Maguidnanao, this time, targeting not only military combatants but civilians.

Maguindanao –- The town treasurer of this town, his son and two
others were killed when suspected lawless group set off a roadside improvised
bomb in a Maguindanao highway Tuesday night, the military here said.

Killed
on the spot were Norodin Macabangen, municipal treasurer of Datu Salibo
treasurer, his son Kenneth Ken-Ken” Macabangen, Alex Alpas and Bensar Agapay.

PAGADIAN CITY– The National Union of Journalists in the Philippines (NUJP) today reported another one (of its own) bites the dust. In a statement, the NUJP reported that aradio broadcaster in Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur was shot to death around 8 p.m. Tuesday.In a media alert, the NUJP, identified the victim asElvis Ordaniza, who was in his 50s. COTABATO CITY -– Another blast rocks Cotabato City Tuesday night, police said.At about 7:30 p.m., unidentified men riding on a motorbike tossed a hand grenade at the
office of Mindanao Tulong Bakwit,a non government organization helping evacuees due to armed conflictin Maguindanao and nearby provinces.It was the second explosion to rock the city this month. LEBAK, Sultan Kudarat -- Four persons have been arrested by police authorities here following the implementation of One Time Big Time Operation over the weekend.In a statement issued by Police Chief Inspector Benhur Catcatan,Lebak Municipal Police Office officer-in-charge, said one of thosearrested was Haron Gonda of Barangay Kinudalan. COTABATO CITY -- Two cadavers were found in separate arears in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao over the weekend, police said today.The first cadaver was found by Embo Lalaog, a village council man and farmer of Barangay Semba, DOS, Maguidnanao.Lalaog was spraying chemical to his crops Sunday afternoon when he found the decomposing remains in his vegetable farm. The remains was later identified to beAlamin Manebpel Saguili, 28 resident of BarangayBroce, Barangay Tamontaka, DOS, Maguindanao.Saguili sustained stab wounds in the head, neck and body.
