NHCP exec director and former Cotabato City Mayor Ludovico "Vic" Badoy (1951-2021)

COTABATO CITY - Former Cotabato City and former executive director of National Historical Commission has died due to lingering illness. He was 69.

He was suffering from severe pneumonia and Covid-19 positive.

Solomon "Sol" Badoy said:  "It is with deep sorrow and pain that we let you know that Ludovico D. Badoy - wife to Dutch, stepfather to Tin, Brother, uncle, mayor, leader and many more to us all and a 2nd dad to us - passed away at 11:57 AM in Dr. Jose Rodriguez Memorial Hospital, Tala, Caloocan City.

Cops raid house of suspended mayor in Sultan Kudarat, seize guns

DPWH-12 exec warns vs solicitation, fund drive using his name

KORONADAL CITY – A ranking official of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the Soccsksargen region has warned the public against solicitations purportedly by DPWH ranking official.

Engr. Basir Ibrahim, DPWH-12 regional director, issued as statement warning the public against individuals who used his name or his staff to solicit funds from contractors and DPWH clients.

Platoon leader ng NPA na taga North Cotabato, naaresto sa Koronadal City

KORONADAL CITY - Tuluyang nahulog sa kamay ng mga otoridad ang isang platoon leader ng New People's Army sa lalawigan ng South Cotabato.

Ayon kay South Cotabato Provincial Police Office director PCol. Jemuel Siason, kahapon Abril 15 nang nahuli ng pinagsanib na pwersa ng South Cotabato PNP, Koronadal PNP, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) 12 , at Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 12 ang suspek na kinilalang si Gemar Genaca alyas Owen, 37 anyos at residente ng Makilala, North Cotabato.

KORONADAL CITY -- Nasawi ang isang kalabaw matapos na ito ay mabangga ng isang Mitsubishi Montero sa national highway ng New Panay, Sto Nino, South Cotabato alas 4 kahapon, April 14.

Ayon sa initial report na nakarating sa Radyo Bida Koronadal, naghahabulan sa gilid ng highway ang dalawang lalaking kalabaw nang isa rito ang tumawid habang padaan naman ang Montero na minamaneho ng isang abogado.

Naghingalo pa ang kalabaw sa gitna ng highway subalit binawian din ng buhay makalipas na ilang minuto dahil sa tama nito sa ulo.

2 babae, huli sa drug buy bust ng PDEA-BARMM, P3.4-M na halaga ng shabu, nakumpiska

COTABATO CITY – Huli ang dalawang babae, isa rito ay buntis, sa ikinasang anti-drug operation ng PDEA-Maguindanao sa harap ng isang food chain at Catabato cathedral kaninang umaga.

Sinabi ni PDEA-Maguindanao agent Anthony Naïve na nakuha mula kina Elena Minala Daud at Sarah Badawi Parok ang tinatayang 500 gramo ng shabu na nagkakahalaga ng more or less P3.4 million.

Agad na inaresto ang dalawa matapos na sila ay magbenta ng illegal drugs sa isang undercover agent ng PDEA alas 7:40 ng umaga sa kanto ng Makakuha Street at Quezon Avenue.

'Notorious gang leader' killed in Maguindanao police op

COTABATO CITY – Police and military operatives killed in a shootout a former village chairman turned gang leader in Maguindanao whose group allegedly engaged in gunrunning and illegal drug activities.

Major Esmail Madin, chief of the police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit – Maguindanao, identified the slain suspect as Marcos Manunggal, ex-village chair of Barangay Tee in Datu Salibo town and alleged leader of the Manunggal lawless group operating in the province.

Cotabato Light announces whole franchise area brownout on April 18

COTABATO CITY -- The Cotabato Light and Power Company is announcing a franchise wide six hour power interruption on Sunday, April 18, 2021.

In a statement, the Cotabato Light said power interruption starts at 6 a.m. and expected to be restored at abut 12 noon.

This is to facilitate line mantenance of 69KV line.
