Drug peddlers na armado ng pellet gun, naaresto ng Koronadal PNP

2 drug suspect nakipaghabulan sa mga pulis, kulungan pa rin ang bagsak sa Koronadal City

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato- Nakipaghabulan man sa mga pulis kulungan pa rin ang bagksak ng 2 mga drug suspect sa Koronadal City.

Sa panayam ng Radyo BIDA kay Koronadal Chief of Police Lt. Col. Amor Mio Somine kinilala nito ang mga arestadong drug suspek na sina Michael Jay De Jesus at Jeffrey Tulabot, pawang mga nasa hustong gulang at nakatira sa Barangay Morales sa lungsod.


Flashfloods hit Sarangani, General Santos City

KORONADAL CITY - Thousands were affected by flashfloods that swept parts of Sarangani province and General Santos City Thursday following heavy downpours in mountain ranges around.

Floodwaters inundated stretches of a highway in Buayan area at the border of General Santos City and Alabel town in Sarangani, stranding hundreds of motorists and commuters.

The local government units in General Santos City and in Alabel have dispatched emergency responders to the flooded areas.


5 peddlers nabbed in 2 drug busts

COTABATO CITY - Authorities entrapped five drug dealers, two of them with links to the Dawlah Islamiya group, in separate operations Tuesday.

The first to fall were Elias Decampong Batuan, 41, and his female accomplice, Omaira Abedin, 43, detained after selling P20,400 worth of shabu to non-uniformed policemen in a tradeoff in Barangay Loksadatu in Marawi City.

KORONADAL CITY - DAHIL SA MALAKAS NA BUHOS NG ULAN SA South Cotabato at Koronadal City, idineklara ni City Mayor Eliordo Ogena ang suspension of classes in all levels sa buong lungsod.

Kagabi pa nagsimula ang ulan sa Koronadal at kalapit mga lugar. 

Hanggang ngayong umaga ay malakas pa din ang buhos ng ulan dahil ito sa ITCZ na nasa Mindanao at ang isa pang weather disturbance na namataan ng Pag-asa malapit sa Gen. Santos City.


Drug den dismantled, 3 peddlers nabbed in Koronadal

Anti-narcotic operatives of PDEA South Cotabato Provincial Office, South Cotabato Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Koronadal City Drug Enforcement Unit dismantled a drug den and arrested three  drug personalities in a buy-bust operation on November 15, 2022, 8:00 in the evening at Purok Lower Cadidang, Brgy. San Jose, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.


U.S. Embassy ‘CAT’ completes PSG training; upgrades equipment

THE US Embassy Civil Affairs Team (CAT) has completed a Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) training to support search and rescue and maritime law enforcement operations.

Following the training, U.S. Embassy CAT turned over 12 sets of dive equipment and emergency medical supplies to the PCG, aboard the MRRV-9701 Teresa Magbanua in Palawan on November 5. The vessel is the largest in the PCG fleet.

PRO-12 hosts transport security summit to end bus bombing

TACURONG CITY – In a bid to put an end to bomb attacks on commuter buses across the region, the police authorities in Region 12 conducted over the weekend a Transportation Security Summit 2022 in Gen. Santos City.

The summit, presided over by Director Jose A Briones, Jr., Chairman, Office of Transportation Security, Department of Transportation (DOTr), was attended by police, military, coast guard, Mindanao ports officials and bus company representatives.


2 siblings drown in a pond in Lamitan City

COTABATO CITY – Two school girls drowned Saturday in a small pond in Lamitan City, Basilan that they thought was shallow, where they can play and bathe. 

In a report to the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region here, the Lamitan City Police Office said the nine-year-old Trisha Lozano Magno and her seven-year-old sister, Tiffany, were found dead in the pond in Sitio Panansangan in Barangay Ubit in Lamitan City, Basilan.

The pond, surrounded by elevated rolling grounds with trees and tall grasses, is a catch basin for rainwater that falls around.


Cotabato Light announces NGCP initiated power interruption on Sept. 13, Sunday


When: Sunday, November 13, 2022

Time: 6:00AM - 6:30 AM | 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Affected areas: Whole Cotabato Light Franchise

In line with this NGCP interruption,

Cotabato Light power supply will be affected and we might be implementing a rotational brownout or Sectional Feeder Interruption (SFI) due to limited allocation of 17MW from Tacurong-Cotabato line and the effect of low voltage.

This is due to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) scheduled maintenance activity.
