TACURONG CITY  – Unidentified gunmen ambushed and killed Wednesday in Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat a former vice of Maguindanao del Sur town.

Major Jhethro Doligas, Lambayong town police chief, identified the victims as Sittie Jinn Utto Lumenda, former vice mayor of Rajah Buayan town who died from bullet wounds in the head.

Her father, Datu Jonathan Lumenda who was with her, was critically injured and is now undergoing medication in a hospital here.

KIDAPAWAN CITY - A farmer was electrocuted while fishing beside Marbol river in Barnagay Paco, this city on Monday afternoon.

DXND Radyo Bida Kidapawan learned that the fatlaity was identified by hsi relatives as Joel Canon, a resident of Barangay Paco.

Canon and two other relatives were fishing beside the river when he accidentaly held on to a fence after lost balance of himself.

Unfortunately, he held on to a fense with live electrical wiring, triggering electrocution, his companions said.

Nakuha ang P170,000 na halaga ng shabu mula sa mga suspsect na tinaguriang high value target ng PNP.

Samantala, higit P500,000 na halaga ng shabu ang kaumpiksa ng PNP at PDEA 12 operatives sa anti-drug operation sa Barangay Poblacion 7, Midsayap, North Cotabato.

Kinilala ang mag-asawang suspect sa aliases na sina Akrima na isang negosyante at ang asawa nitong si Mandi.

Last Sunday, the same schedule was also implemented in the Cotabato Light franchise area.

COTABATO CITY - Police arrested three individuals involved in illegal drug trade during an entrapment operation on Sunday in Banisilan, North Cotabato.

Arrest by joint municipal and provincial police office personnel were Mombawira Akil, 37, Japar Cosain, 28 Khalid Sarif 46, all from Natangcopan,  Amai Manabilang, Lanao del Sur.

The three were classified as high value target (HVT).

COTABATO CITY --- A fire of still undetermined origin razed down 85 houses in a riverside barangay on Wednesday afternoon, displacing 156 Moro families.

The displaced residents of the fire-stricken Purok Tadman in Barangay Poblacion 7 here were immediately relocated by community leaders and emergency responders from the Cotabato City local government unit to buildings inside the nearby campus of the Datu Siang Elementary School.

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Dahil sa malakas na buhos ng ulan sa silangang bahagi ng North Cotabato, binaha ang ilang lugar na ikinasawi ng dalawa at sinuspende ang klase sa lahat ng antas ng paaralan sa mga bayan ng Kabacan, Matalam, Pres. Roxas, Pikit at Magpet.
