Cotabato Light announces power service interruption for Nov. 27, Sunday

Cotabato Light and Power Company power supply will be affected and we might be implementing a rotational or Sectional Feeder Interruption (SFI) due to limited allocation and the effect of low voltage.

We apologize for the inconvenience which is beyond Cotabato Light's control.

Rest assured that power will be back to normal once the maintenance activity of the NGCP is done.

World Children’s Day: BARMM stands for Bangsamoro children’s rights, protection

COTABATO CITY — Bangsamoro Government reaffirms its commitment to protecting children from violence and ensuring their right to live in a peaceful world as stated in the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).

Inside the Bangsamoro Government Center, on Sunday, Nov. 20, the Office of the Chief Minister’s facade was lit in blue in line with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) #GoBlueCampaign—a strong symbol of hope that stands for Bangsamoro people that “every child has a story to tell, regardless of their gender, race, status, and capabilities.”


Localized lockdown ipinatupad na sa Cotabato City kasunod ng serye ng pamamaril

COTABATO CITY - Simula ngayong gabi ay magsisimula na ang LOCALIZED LOCKDOWN sa Purok Talitay at Pag-asa ng Barangay Rosary Heights 7 at Purok Masagana at sa perimeter ng Fiesta Mall at Barangay Rosary Heights 10 dahil sa intelligence reports na natanggap ng City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) patungkol sa security threats at sightings ng mga armadong indibidwal sa lungsod.

Ang lockdown ay magsisimula ng alas otso ng gabi (8:00pm) at matatapos ng alas kuwatro ng umaga (4:00am).


4 dead in Cotabato City shooting incidents

COTABATO CITY - Four persons perished, two of them alleged “hired killers,” in separate shooting incidents here Monday night.

The first to fall was Norhamin Usman Guidel, shot dead at about 6:00 p.m. Monday by a gunman in the vicinity of the city plaza, not too distant from the Cotabato City Police Precinct 1.

The attacker had escaped before responding policemen could reach the scene. 

In less than 10 minutes, two men killed with pistols Rashidin Angas along a busy stretch of the Sinsuat Avenue here.

COTABATO CITY - NASAWI ANG APAT NA MGA LALAKI SA MAGKAKAHIWALAY na shooting incident sa Cotabato City kagabi.

Mga alas 6 ng gabi, binaril at napatay ng di pa nakikilalang mga suspect si Norhamin Usman Guiadel alias “Datu Nhot,” 23 taong gulang na taga Barangay Bulalo, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte.

Nangyari ito sa Dorotheo Street, di kalayuan sa police station 1 headquarters sa Barangay Poblacion 6.

Sinabi ni Police Station 1 Commander Capt. Kenneth Rosales na ang biktima ay binaril ng mga naka-motor na gamit ang caliber .45 pistol.


3 mga kaso ng pamamaril, naganap sa Cotabato City ngayong gabi

Tatlong sunod sunod na kaso ng pamamaril ang naitala ngayong gabi sa magkakahiwalay na lugar sa Cotabato City.

Unang napaulat ang pamamaril ang isang 23-anyos na lalaki sa Don Rufino Alonzo Street corner Dorotheo Street, Poblacion 6, Cotabato City mag aalas-sais ng gabi kanina.

Kinilala ni Police Station 1 Commander Capt. Kenneth Rosales ang biktima na si Norhamin Usman Guiadel alyas Datu Nhot, nasa hustong gulang, single na taga Brgy. Bulalo, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.


Boxing instructor, trainee killed in Cotabato gun attack

COTABATO CITY --- Gunmen shot dead a popular boxing coach and his trainee in a daring attack in a highland town of Antipas, North Cotabatyo at dusk Sunday.

Joel Gardose Abendaño and his boxing student, Aikeeh John Anthony Necor, were walking together along a busy street in the town proper of Antipas when men on motorcycles trailing behind shot them with pistols as they got close.


2 police “assets” killed in bungled shabu sting

COTABATO CITY --- Drug dealers shot dead two civilian tipsters helping set them up in an operation in nearby Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte on Monday morning that turned awry.

Lt. Col. Nelson Madiwo, municipal police chief of Datu Odin Sinsuat, initially identified the duo as Toks and Odjie, who volunteered to help anti-narcotics agents entrap three large-scale shabu peddlers in Barangay Margues at past 8:00 a.m. Monday.


Sec. Abalos lauds 50 extremists in SK for choosing peace

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat  – Secretary Benjamin ‘Benhur’ Abalos Jr of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has expressed more violent extremists will come out and surrender to help bring about peace in southern Philippines.

Abalos issued the statement after welcoming 50 former violent extremists (FVEs) members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) back to the folds of the law in Sultan Kudarat with the promise of extending government support under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).


Cops neutralize 2 gunmen in Kabacan, North Cotabato

GEN. SANTOS CITY  – Two armed men were neutralized after an armed confrontation when eluding arrest at a dragnet operation in Kabacan, North Cotabato on November 17, 2022.

Prior to the incident, Kabacan MPS received an information from a concerned citizen that two armed malefactors were sighted roaming in Barangay Osias, Kabacan.

Kabacan MPS alert team responded to the area and alerted all established checkpoints.
