NorCot household without toilets will be penalized

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Starting next week, barangay officials from a remote village in a hinterland town in North Cotabato will impose penalties on households without sanitary toilet and proper sewage system. A violator would be fined P1,000, according to barangay officials of Barangay Kabalantian in Arakan, Cotabato. On Monday, the Barangay Kabalantian will be declared ‘zero open defecation’ (ZOD) after it passed requirements set by the Rural Health Unit of the Arakan municipal LGU and the ACF International, a humanitarian non-government organization (NGO).

DOH-ARMM wants hike in BHW honorarium

COTABATO CITY -- The Regional Legislative Assembly in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) is now studying the proposed increase of honorarium for Barangay Health Workers in the region, officials said Friday.Earlier, the Department of Health (DOH-ARMM) requested the regional law making body of the region to increase, through legislation, the honorarium of health workers by Php3,000.Currently, the more than 2,000 health frontliners are only receiving Php500 a month as honorarium.Dr.


Tacrurong City PWDs avail of free medical services

TACURONG CITY - Persons with disability (PWDs) and cooperative members
in Tacurong City availed free medical services such as electrocardiography or ECG,

DOH-ARMM to probe Buluan hospital on mother-child case

KIDAPAWAN CITY – The Department of Health in the
Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and the Buluan District Hospital in
Buluan, Maguindanao is investigating the case of a baby who was decapitated
during delivery to save the mother.

Dr. Kadil Sinolinding, ARMM health chief, said
he formed a body to probe the incident.The mother was not identified.
