Tacurong City pushes 'ABCDE' against HIV/AIDS

TACURONG CITY -- The Tacurong City government has been pushing the 'ABCDE' campaign to prevent HIV/AIDS.A symposium was conducted spearheaded by the Tacurong City Office for City Health Services-Sanitation Section (OCHS). The campaign calls everyone to practice 'ABCDE' which means - A- Abstain from sex, B- Be
faithful to your partner, C- Consistently
use condoms, D- Do not use illegal
drugs and E- Educate yourself.

Tacurong multi-sectoral group OKs draft health, sanitation code

TACURONG
CITY – The draft City Health and
Sanitation Code has earned the approval of a multi-sectoral representatives
here after a consultation on the draft law was conducted Thursday, officials
said.

Participants
from private and government sectors agreed that it is high time to approve and
implement an enabling law that will regulate health and sanitation practices of
food and entertainment establishments, markets, slaughterhouses, parks,
resorts, schools, and hotels, among others.

WHO and Transfer of MERSCoV from one person to another requires close contact

MANILA (PNA) -- The World Health Organization (WHO) said over the weekend that MERSCoV (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus) is a disease that is not easy to be transferred from one person to another. The disease (referring to MERSCoV) is very difficult to spread from one person to the next. It is a disease that you do need close contact for that virus to spread from one person to the next,” said Dr. Julie Hall, WHO country representative during Friday press briefing held at the Department of Health (DOH) in Tayuman, Manila.

Mamasapano villagers experience trauma - DOH

IPHO-Maguindanao seeks help in fight vs. dengue

COTABATO
CITY – Health officials in Maguindanao today appealed to residents
to intensify cleanliness in surroundings and destroy breeding sites of dengue carrying
mosquitos.
The appeal was issued byDr. Tahir Sulaik, Maguindanao health chief.Sulaik
reported that in 2014, the number of dengue cases has increased as compared to
2013.
