Covid-19: Number of PUM in Cotabato City rising, says mayor

COTABATO CITY - Ito na po ang bilang ng mga persons under monitoring sa Cotabato City, ayon kay Cotabato City Mayor Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi. 

"KITA NIYO NAMAN PO, ARAW ARAW NADADAGDAGAN ANG ATING MGA PUM. KAYA IPINAPAALALA SA LAHAT NG MGA COTABATENIO NA HUWAG NA MUNANG MAG LALABAS LALO KUNG WALA DIN NAMAN TAYONG PUPUNTAHANG IMPORTANTE.

Local execs focus on  sustaining food supplies amid COVID-19 problem 

COTABATO CITY --- Officials on Saturday tasked agriculturists to focus on increasing production of short-term food crops as contingency in case of prolonged anti-coronavirus quarantine.

Lanao del Sur Gov. Mamintal Adiong, Jr. said Saturday he has directed the Provincial Agriculture Office to estimate the optimum volume of food crops local farmers can produce in the next four weeks and their retail prices in the markets.

Search for  suspected COVID-19 carrier Tablighs gaining headway

COTABATO CITY --- Provincial officials in Basilan urged authorities Friday to coordinate with the Markaz in the provinces to hasten the search for Tablig missionaries suspected of having contracted the coronavirus infection.

The Markaz is like an umbrella entity of the Tabligh religious bloc in the provinces that has lists of members and keeps track of their travels in the regions and abroad either to preach, or participate in congregational gatherings.

DOH-12: PUI died in Tacurong hospital

TACURONG CITY - An 87-year-old man from Sultan Kudarat suspected of having coronavirus died on March 13, 2020 in one of the hospitals here where he was confirned since March 12, health authgorities said.

In a situationer report on Covid-19 date March 19, the Department of Health (DOH-12) said the patient had no travel history but experienced cough, fever and difficulty in breathing.

He died with a final diagnosis of Acute Respiratory failure secondary to COPD to top of Community Acquired Pneumonia

Gov. Tamayo asks PhilHealth, hospital officials to work together amid COVID 19 woes

KOROANDAL CITY -- “I am thankful that as of this date, we don’t have confirmed cases yet but in times like this, we all need to give and take just in case because this one is something different after earthquake.”

These were the words of South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. in his emergency meeting with PhilHealth-12 and South Cotabato Health Care Providers at the Provincial Capitol amid Covid-19 scare.

PUI sa Koronadal City, pumanaw na

KORONADAL CITY - Pasyenteng Person Under Investigation (PUI) dahil sa hinihinalaang COVID-19, pumanaw sa Koronadal City.

Batay ito sa talaan ng Provincial Epidemiology Surveillance Unit (PESU) naka-attach sa ilalim.

Hinihintay pa ang confirmatory result mula sa RITM kung positibo sa COVID ang biktima o hindi.

Ang PUI ay ang mga pasyenteng may sintomas na dala ng virus ngunit hindi ibig sabihin na positibo sila sa Covid-19. Tanging ang Research Institure for Tropical Medicine (RITM) ang magkakapagsabi kung positibo o hindi sa coronavirus ang isang pasyente.

Covid-19: Cotabato City’s contingency measures in place

COTABATO CITY --- The city has 16 isolation facilities for local coronavirus patients, Mayor Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi said Thursday.

There is only one patient, not even a resident of Cotabato City, confined for COVID-19 infection at the Cotabato Regional Medical Center so far.

The patient is a member of the Islamic Tabligh bloc, who along with 214 others, traveled to Malaysia last month for a congregational activity there.

BARMM locating companions of preachers afflicted with COVID-19

COTABATO CITY --- Authorities have launched a search for the 215 Tabligh missionaries who joined a religious gathering in Malaysia last month after two of them succumbed to coronavirus infection while another is seriously ill of the same disease.

The Islamic all-male Tabligh bloc is comprised of preachers roving in far-flung areas to preach Islam, traditionally clad in Pakistani men’s attire.
