U.S. donates cots to PH OCD, PGH

MANILA — The U.S. government on Friday turned over to Philippine officials 1,300 cots in support to the country’s response to covid19 threat to public health.  

United States. Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim said: "I'm pleased to be able to hand over these new cots, on behalf of the U.S. government, to our Philippine partners. We stand together with the Philippines, as both of our nations work to save lives and protect our people in the fight against COVID-19."

COVID-19 positive man in North Cotabato recovers, now tested negative of coronavirus

COTABATO CITY - A 45-year old male from North Cotabto who was tested positive of coronavirus (COVID-19) on April 6 but tested negative of the disease today, the Department of Health (DOH) in the Soccsksargen region said.

In its bulletin released on April 10, the DOH said PH3272 has tested negative.

The man has travel history to Davao City and was confined in an isolation center at Amas, Kidapaan City and in stable condition.

Also, DOH-12 reported that a 79-year old Person Under Investigation (PUI) who died in South Cotabato on April 5 was negative of coronavirus.

Ambulance driver not COVID-19 fatality

MAGUINDANAO --- The ambulance driver of a state-run hospital in Upi, Maguindanao did not die on April 6 of corona-virus infection as erroneously reported by a radio station in Tacurong City.

Dr. Michael Macion, chief of the Datu Blah Sinsuat District Hospital, announced Friday that their hypertensive ambulance driver, who died in his sleep last week, tested negative to COVID-19 based on swab samples taken immediately after he passed away.

Another Kidapawenio tested positive of COVID-19

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Another resident of Kidapawan City has tested positive of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), raising the COVID-19 positive patients to two and three across the province of North Cotabato. 

In its Aprl 9 situation report on COVID-19, the Department of Health in the Soccsksargen region, reported that regionwide, there are already 16 confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Patient 3989 is a 48-year old male from Kidapawan City who travelled to Davao Ctiy and visited the Matina Gallera where a spike of COVID-19 postive was noted.

Catamco to public: Be alert, don't panic, stay home

KIDAPAWAN CITY  - Sa harap ng panibagong COVID19 Positive case mula sa Kidapawan City, nanawagan ngayon si North Cotabato Governor Nancy Catamco sa mga mamamayan na maging mapagbantay upang mapanatiling ligtas ang sarili subalit huwag mag panic.

Ang panawagan ay inilabas ng gobernador sa ginanap na joint press conference ni Gov. Catamco at Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph Evangelista kahapon ng umaga kasabay ng pormal na paghayag kay patient PH 3671 na isang residente ng lungsod.

2 more patients confirmed to have COVID-19 in Region 12

COTABATO CITY - Two more individuals were confirmed to be infected with coronavirus in the Soccsksargen region, raising COVID-19 positive persons in the region to 15, the Department of Health today said.

In an April 8 situation report for COVID-19, DOH-12 said two persons, identified as (PH3772) and (PH3774), have been on strict home quarantine.

KORONADAL CITY - Clinically recovered na o posibleng wala nang sintomas ng coronavirus disease 2019 o COVID-19 ang isang 59 years old na lalaki na unang tinamaan ng Coronavirus disease o COVID-19 sa Koronadal City.

Ito ang nilinaw ni South Cotabato Provincial Health Officer Dr. Rogelio Aturdido Jr.

Ayon kay Aturdido, ang nasabing COVID-19 patient ay sumasailalim ngayon sa 14-day home quarantine. Ito ay habang hinihintay ang resulta ng ikalawang COVID-19 test para matiyak kung tuluyan na itong negatibo sa nasabing virus.

Maguindanao registers 1st COVID-19 case of man in Matina derby

COTABATO CITY – A 54-year-old man who had travel history to Davao City’s Matina Gallera is the first case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Maguindanao, a health official today said.

The Bangsamoro Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 led by Ministry of Health in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM) confirmed the report.

MOH-BARMM Minister Dr. Safrullah Dipatuan said the patient, who has diabetes and is hypertensive is now under close hoe quarantine and in stable condition.

Region-12 has 3 more COVID-19 positive patients

COTABATO CITY  – Three more patients were listed as coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Soccsksargen region, raising the region’s confirmed cases to 13, health officials today said.

Arjohn Gangoso, Department of Health 12 health education and promotion officer, said the patients were from Gen. Santos City, Cotabato City and Cotabato province.

The 11th reported confirmed case (PH3669) is a 59-year old male from Gen. Santos City who has travel history to Davao City. He is on stable condition but remained in the hospital.
