2 suspected COVID-19 patients in South Cotabato die but negative of coronavirus, says DOH

COTABATO CITY - The department of Health in the Soccsksargen region reported two more deaths of suspected COVID-19 but they turned out to be negative of the disease.

DOH-12 issues clarificatory statement on COVID-19 positive patient in Region 12

COTABATO CITY - The Department of Health in the Soccsksargen region has issued clarificatory statment on the case of PH3669, the 11th confirmed COVID-19 case in the region who was, again, tested positive of the virus.

DOH-12, in a bulletin, said the patient is stable and is on strict 14-day home quarantine.

Police crime lab personnel embark on COVID-19 relief ops

COTABATO CITY --- Police forensic experts in the Bangsamoro region this week distributed food to people displaced by the COVID-19 quarantine, an outreach mission beneficiaries have never thought of.

“We know they are few and are focused only on resolving crimes by processing pieces of evidence collected in crime scenes,” Wahida Sangid said in Filipino.

Her family received Thursday rice and instant noodles from subordinates of Police Col. Arnold Dulnuan, chief of the Regional Crime Laboratory Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.

Cotabato City health office reports 6 new COVID-19 “suspects”

COTABATO CITY  – Six “suspect” patients of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been reported in Cotabato City, the city health services reported Friday.

Five of the “suspects” are now undergoing strict home quarantine while the sixth was confined in a hospital.

Cotabato City has so far recorded six confirmed COVID-19 patients, majority of them were from outside the city, and all of them have recovered.  To date, no “probable” case in the city.

Get COVID-19 updates only from authorities - officials

COTABATO CITY --- Officials on Friday urged the local communities to listen only to government advisories on changes in COVID-19 quarantine protocols and disregard fake notices spreading on social media.

Lawyer Naguib Sinarimbo, Bangsamoro region’s local government minister, said Friday people ought to listen only to announcements from their local government units and from local and provincial health officials on changes in COVID-19 prevention procedures.

Look! Cotabato City, Maguindanao, South Cotabato

COTABATO CITY - The Panahon.TV FB page has shared the latest Department of Health (DOH) infographics showing Cotabato City, Maguindanao and South Cotabato have no new COVID-19 case the past two weeks.

It said: "According to the Department of Health, 18 provinces in country have no new COVID-19 cases in the past two weeks, April 13- 27, 2020."

DOH-12: No new confirmed COVID case, no new reported death

COTABATO CITY -- Health fronliners in the fight against coronavirus disease reported that as of 5 p.m. today, the Department of Health (DOH) situation report on COVID-19 showed that no additional suspect, probable and confirmed COVID-19 death had been reported.

The total number of death in Region 12 remained at 24 with only one confirmed COVID-19 positive.

It said that the 65 year-old male from North Cotabato who died on April 22 due to acute myocardial infarction, community aquired pneumonia, among other disease, was negative of COVID-19 virus.

BARMM frontliners admit getting threats while contact-tracing COVID-19 possible patients

COTABATO CITY -  The Ministry of Health in the Bangsamoro Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM) has admitted thet its frontliners and health workers have the difficulty in contact-tracing "probable" and "suspected" COVID-19 patients since relatives of persons they interview have been threatening them.

Dr. Saffrullah Dipatuan, Minister of Health in the Bangsamoro region said that their efforts to help contain the spread of disease is hampered by harassments to its frontliners.

Catamco: COVID-19 problem will not dampen zeal of fasting Muslims  

KIDAPAWAN CITY --- The resilience of Moro residents in North Cotabato and elsewhere will help them get through the Ramadhan season amid the COVID-19 threat, Gov. Nancy Catamco said Monday.

North Cotabato covers 17 towns and more than 40 barangays in its capital, Kidapawan City, where there is a big population of Muslims, mostly Maguindanaons and Iranuns. There are Maranaws in the province too.

9 positive of COVID-19; 3 die in Lanao Sur

COTABATO CITY - TWO more persons were reported to have tested positive of corona virus disease 2019 (Covid19) in Lanao del Sur as of April 25, almost three weeks after health authorities posted seven cases in that province on April 6.

Three persons have died of covid19-related infection cases in Lanao del Sur, since the national government declared national health emergency on March 18, according to the Ministry of Health of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MoH-BARMM).
