NDBC COVID WATCH: 34 patients recover, 30 new cases in Soccsksargen

COTABATO CITY - Thirty-four novel coronavirus patients disease (COVID-19) in Region 12 have recovered from the disease as of Monday night, raising the number of total recovered patients to 607.

Of the 34 recoveries, Gen Santos City had 4, followed by Cotabato City with 12, South Cotabato three, Sultan Kudarat and Sarangani had two each and North Cotabato with one.

The Department of Health in Region 12, also reported 30 new cases in Soccsksargen, raising the total number of confirmed patients to 1,139.

NDBC COVID WATCH: 19 Cotabtato City patients recover; Region 12 records 46 new cases

COTABATO CITY - Forty-six new COVID-19 cases were reported Saturday night in the Soccsksargen region, raising total confirmed cases to 1,085, the Department of Health said.

It also reported that 27 patients have recovered, raising the number of recovered patients to 523.

3,962 new Covid-19 infections; active cases now 68.6K: DOH

MANILA – The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday reported 3,962 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19), bringing the total of active cases in the country to 68,645.

Of the new cases, 1,440 are from the National Capital Region, 354 from Bulacan, 287 from Cavite, 222 from Laguna, and 213 from Batangas.

In its Covid-19 bulletin, the DOH said among the total active cases, 87.4 percent are considered mild while 9 percent are asymptomatic, 1.1 percent are severe and 2.5 percent are critical.

At present, the country has a total of 283,460 cases.

Authorities confirm locally-acquired transmission of Covid-19 in Kidapawan

COTABATO CITY  – After collating data from Cotabato Provincial and Kidapawan City Epidemiological Surveillance Units, and the Department of Health in the Soccsargen Region, provincial officials Friday declared local transmission in Kidapawan City and have prepared steps to prevent its spread.

“We can now confirm locally–acquired infection with community transmission in Kidapawan City,” Dr. Philbert Malaluan said in radio interview.

Maguindanao “high risk” for local transmission as Covid-19 cases in nearby provinces spike 

COTABATO CITY  – A provincial health official in Maguindanao has raise the alarm bell on the possibility of the spread of novel coronavirus in the provinces as rising cases were noted in adjacent provinces.

“We are at high risk status now for local transmission as Covid-19 cases in our neighboring provinces have risen,” Dr. Elizabeth Samama, Maguindanao health chief, said in a statement.

BARMM records 67 new Covid-19 cases, 61 of them from Tawi-Tawi

COTABATO CITY  – The Ministry of Health in the Bangsamoro Region in Muslim Midnanao (MOH-BARMM) reported today that 67 new novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases have been recorded in the region as of Friday.

And the town of Bongao in Tawi-Tawi had the highest single day record of confirmed novel coronavirus (COVID-19) with 61. In a bulletin Saturday, MOH-BARMM said with 67 new cases, the region now has a total of 895 confirmed patients.

“The Sept. 18 confirmed cases from Tawi-Tawi is 5 times higher than yesterday,” the MOH-BARMM said of the Tawi-Tawi case.

NDBC COVID WATCH: 31 recover, 34 new infections

COTABATO CITY - The Department of Health today reported that 31 Covid-19 patients in Region 12 have recovered from the disease, raising the total number of recoveries to 457.

In a bulletin, the DOH said of the 31 recovered patients, 18 were from Cotabato City, seven were from Gen. Santos City, five from South Cotabato, one from North Cotabato.

DOH-12 also reported that 34 new cases have been reported with South Cotabato having 13 new cases.

Lanao del Sur mayor tests positive for Covid-19

COTABATO CITY — The municipal mayor of Malabang in Lanao del Sur has announced Monday he tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Mayor Mohammad Yahya Macapodi, on his official statement, said he experienced mild symptoms and was advised to undergo a swab test.

"I was contacted and informed that my result came out positive for Covid-19," Macapodi said.

Contact tracing was immediately conducted to contain the virus. "I urge all who had direct contact with me for the past week to undergo a 14-day quarantine," he said.

NDBC COVID-19 WATCH: 17 new cases, one recovers

COTABATO CITY - Seventeen new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded by the Dept of Health in the Soccsksargen region as of 6 p.m. Sept. 14, 2020.

Of the new cases, eight were from Cotabato City, seven from South Cotabato and one each from North Cotabato and Gen. Santos City.  With that, the region now has a total of 890 confirmed cases with 473 active patients and 398 patients have recovered. 

Only one patient, a 25-year-old male from Cotabato City has recovered from the disease.
