North Cotabato IPHO gets dental bus

KIDAPAWAN CITY -– With a modern dental facilities all packed inside a bus,
the Integrated Provincial Health Office is expecting to improve dental health
care of North Cotabatenios, official said today.

after IPHO-North Cotabato received a brand new dental bus from the Department of
Health which the province will be using for its dental outreach programs in far
flung villages.

Diabetes, hypertension patients get aid from ARMM

COTABATO CITY– Residents in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) suffering from diabetes and hypertension are thankful after receiving free maintenance medicines from the region’s Department of Health (DOH-ARMM). that all indigents under various organizations and beneficiaries of government

Injuries related to firecrackers reach 148 --DOH

MANILA -- The number of firecracker-related injuries reached 148 as of Dec. 30, the ninth day of the Department of Health's (DOH) Iwas-Paputok Injury Reduction campaign.So far, no additional case of stray bullets has been recorded and fireworks ingestion is still in zero level based on the reports submitted by DOH’s sentinel hospitals. About 2,700 Barangay Health Workers (BHWs)
gathered at the provincial capitol gym, in Barangay Amas, Kidapawan City for
the 25th BHW Provincial Congress.The BHWs are volunteer health workers in

COTABATO CITY -- For public's safety, the city government here has intensified sanitary inspection of food outlets and carenderia, warning food handlers of closure if business and sanitarypermits are not secured.Aniceto Rasalan, secretary to Mayor Japal Guiani Jr, said food centers without sanitary permits issued by the City Health Office may be shut down after due notice.Rasalan said these food areas have been given notices to secure sanitary clearance from the city health.

Cakes, porridge down 9 in Banga, South Cotabato

KORONADAL CITY – Nine persons belonging to one family were hospitalized Monday
morning hours after eating cake and porridge in Banga, South Cotabato, health officials
and survivors said.

The victims,
now confined at the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital here, were residents of
Barangay San Vicente, Banga, South Cotabato, about 20 kilometers south of here.

Seven of the
victims were children aged one 1 to 12 years old, according to Valerie Salazar,
one of the victims. Two others were adults.
