SA daily bulletin ng DOH Center for Health Development 12, makikita na may 24 pasyente ang gumaling, siyam rito ay taga Kidapawan City.

Dalawang taga Gen. Santos City ang namatay kahapon dahil sa complication sa COVID-19.

May 117 katao naman ang nanatili sa hospital o isolation facility at nagpapagaling.

COTABATO CITY – Health frontliners in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) are aiming to immunize at least 95 percent of children against polio and measles.

BARMM health officials launched Tuesday its regionwide campaign dubbed “Chikiting Ligtas: Measles-Rubella and Oral Polio Vaccine (MR-OPV SIA)” for the protection of children against the diseases.

The campaign will involve vaccinating children aged 0–59 months against measles and giving them oral polio vaccines.

COTABATO CITY - The doctor in the Bangsamoro parliament assured Thursday to continue with his medical outreach projects for the poor during the Islamic Ramadhan season that started Thursday.

Residents in Maguindanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte and in the 63 barangays in different towns in Cotabato province under the Bangsamoro government had told reporters they are apprehensive that their appointments with eye specialist Kadil Sinolinding, Jr. could be stalled, meantime, due to the Ramadhan season.

MANILA – Heatstroke and dehydration are two of the most common conditions during the dry season, a health official warned on Tuesday.

In a media briefing, Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, Department of Health officer in charge, said they are waiting for the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration to declare the official start of the hot dry season but it would be wise to watch out for symptoms.

She noted that heatstroke and dehydration are more common among the elderly population.

LANAO DEL SUR — To ensure that every Bangsamoro in the far flung areas will have access to healthcare services, the Ministry of Health (MOH) will construct 100 barangay health stations (BHS) across the region this 2023.
 
MOH Minister Dr. Rizaldy Piang announced this Thursday, Feb. 23, during the inauguration ceremony of the two (2) newly-built BHS at the villages of Barorao in Balabagan town and Salamen in Kapatagan, both in Lanao del Sur (LDS) province.
 

COTABATO CITY  – Almost 700 indigent residents of a remote community in Tawi-Tawi have availed of free eye-screening medical mission, including cataract surgery, the first for seniors and “not so seniors” in the island town of Sitangkai, on Saturday (Feb 11).

The program, a joint project of the Office of Member of Parliament Amir Mawallil and Ministry of Health in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM), have benefitted more than 690 individuals who can now, once again, clearly see the beauty of Sitangkai, an island town close to Borneo in Malaysia.

KORONADAL CITY - Umabot na sa 293 na kaso ng Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease o HFMD ang naitala sa bayan ng Banga, South Cotabato.

Ayon kay Banga Municipal Health Officer Dr. Ellen Quidilla ito ay maituturing nang outbreak.

Ipinahayag ni Quidilla na para mapigilan ang pagkalat ng HFMD pinalakas ng health office ang kanilang information dessimination sa mga komunidad.

Dagdag pa nito nagbibigay din ng anti-biotic ang kanilang tanggapan sa mga may malalang kaso.

Ayon kay Quidilla, apektado ng HFMD ang 19 sa 22 na mga barangay sa Banga.

COTABATO CITY  - For helping the Department of Health (DOH) national office and the Ministry of Health in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM) effectively implementing no-smoking policies, the health department has recognized on Thursday 11 government offices and hospitals.

Saida Ali, MOH-BARMM information officer, said the awarding was made possible through the MOH Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) clusters.

KIDAPAWAN CITY  – The highly contagious “Hand Foot and Mouth Disease” A Kidapawan City health official has raised the alarm bell over rising cases of the highly contagious Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) in the city.

“In 2022, we only monitored about 21 cases but in January alone this year, Kidapawan City has already recorded 48 cases in 40 villages,” Dr. Jose Martin M. Evangelista, Pediatrician ng City Health Office said over DXND Radyo Bida.

“This could be under-reported and we expect the number to rise when all cases are reported,” he added.

KORONADAL CITY - NAPIGILAN NA ng lokal na pamahalaan ang pagkalat ng hand, foot, and mouth disease o HFMD sa Banga, South Cotabato.

Sinabi ito sa Radyo Bida ni Banga Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Joseph Franco.

Ayon kay Franco, apektado ng HFMD ang 15 sa 22 mga barangay sa Banga.

Binigyang diin nito na para mapigilan ang pagkalat ng nasabing sakit, nagsasagawa ng disinfection ang MDRRMO sa mga eskwelahan.
